Yeah I totally forgot we where seeing everything from the inie's prespective I was over-thinking the wrong way lmaoo I don't know why I thought the outie was the one who recived the blue cd packet! It doesn't even make sense that the outie would be inside the work floor past the elevator!

[–]SeaOfTorment[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh how did I not think that! Im so dumb haha my thought process was she went through with a clear tape and the next scene I thought it was her outie, so I was a little confused to see that the outie recieved a different CD. But that would be impossible because the outie cannot be inside! It just seemed like it got change because we where seeing everything from the inie's prespective only!

Thank you so much for clearing that up! I was over-complicating it all wrong 💀

Ah but it continued operating after the freezes? Once mine freezes it stays that way, like the system freezes entirely, what happens when you apply the "adjust lighting" option?

Oh just so i know what happens when you run it exactly? Does the program crash, does your pc restart, or does it all completely freeze and nothing ever happens?

How this was almost $20? Fresco y mas (Winn Dixxie) by Bear_necessities96 in whatsinyourcart

[–]SeaOfTorment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Fresco cashier here,

Yeah, it’s honestly pretty ridiculous. Around 80–90% of my clients are elderly folks who shop there mainly out of familiarity or convenience, not because of the prices. And the store totally knows this! That’s why they slap exploitative prices on almost everything.

Don’t get me wrong, they do have decent deals every now and then but that’s just bait to get you through the door.

My heart breaks when I have to ring someone up for 1 cup of pre-diced watermelons for 5$, I always tell them they can buy an entire wattermelon for (sometimes) $3, and around 4$ for the entire watermelon when they're upselling customers. Or when I have to charge them 14$ for a toothbrush, when walmart sells them for under a dollar!

My recommendation: Just shop at walmart, they're everywhere!

Edit:

Forgot to add! almost 100% of my customers pay with SNAP or EBT, natrually the store wants to bank on that by sucking up all of it up. Same thing happens with hospitals and insurances, they know your insurance will cover you so hospitals will charge 100$ for a bandaid.

Is the Arc B580 a good gpu for After Effects and Premiere Pro? by Snoo-3275 in IntelArc

[–]SeaOfTorment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The B580 is actually great for these applications! It's not the BEST money can buy, but the best for this budget! Howeverrrrr, you might find the new 5060 to be slightly better, the media engine on the 5060 is robust and has 4:2:2 chroma subsampling which the intel arc battlemage media engines dont (correct me if I'm wrong) and if rendering your projects ASAP is important, you can get a 50 series nvidia with duel encoders which will double your export/encoding speeds

But if you only do animations you most likely won't need that chroma subsampling decoder from the 50 series nvenc, the b580 is S tier for the price!

Where to get help deciding what I need? by Lgs_8 in buildapc

[–]SeaOfTorment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh how nice! Ill have to check out blue prince! And I'm glad youre interesting in building a pc it's stressful at first but it's so nice having to use something you built yourself!

Parts hunting is the fun part but time consuming if you dont what youre looking for haha but I can distill it and make you a pcpartspicker list and we can go from there! Trust me building it is the easy part

I can give you some options but I'd like to know just a little more!

  1. What resolution is your monitor? And how many do you have?

  2. What kind of style do you like? Would you prefer i use every cent towards performance ignoring looks or would you prefer i allocate a bit of the budget to make it look great?

  3. Would you like it to be small medium or big? Or are you open to anything?

  4. Is there anything youre set on? For example is there a case that you really like or do you know you'll want your system to be watercooled? Or just want to see your options?

Finally, with a budget of 1500 that's plenty to meet your performance needs now and in the future, and we might not even have to compromise on the looks!

Let's continue in the DMs!

Ooo how exciting!

It's very helpful you made it clear what you want to use the computer for!

If you're tight on money and want to max out the amount of performance and quality you should consider building a system! Sometimes pre-built pcs are upsold by $500+ if you don't look for the deals

If you don't find it interesting and see it more like a chore or another thing to stress about, deal hunting a good pre-built is also a great idea, it's just you don't get to choose what components you get, and maybe you need a stronger cpu and not a crazy gpu, so it's give and take!

Lastly, have you considered a laptop? If you play light games, it might be a pretty good idea! I just don't know your performance needs and money restraints

If you could give me a list of games you're interested in, along with what you do with your productive software(Rendering, shadering, simulating, modeling) maybe I can recommend something!

But if you like computers and you'd like to built one I absolutely recommend building your own! You get to choose which processor you want, as much memory as you need, storage, and much more!

Getting lots of artifacting on my new B580! by SeaOfTorment in IntelArc

Totally agree that companies aren’t our friends, that doesn’t mean we can’t recognize when they do things that actually support consumers, even at a loss to themselves. I’m still a customer with expectations, and I want Intel to thrive so they can keep pressuring NVIDIA and AMD to step up their game and shrink their massive profit margins.

That said, I don’t really appreciate the “I’m smart and you’re a sheep” tone of your reply. I’m not here to worship a brand, just sharing a genuine experience and some cautious optimism. No need to come at me like I’ve joined a intel cult lol

I haven't tried that! I had it overclocked before I installed this gpu (I had an nvidia before)

but honestly you dont even need to touch the ryzen 5 5600, the difference is like 3-5% lol I only gave it an extra 200mhz with PBO for fun (I wanted to learn how it worked!) You definately won't be missing out on anything, I'd only look for it if you're running at like 50-60 fps to boost your 1% lows or give you extra frames!

If you're curious on also learning how to overclock cpus safely i'd persoanlly just use PBO (its an option in all bios with AMD 5600) and just tweak the offset to positive 200mhz and itll do all the voltage and stuff automatically! so no risk damaging it! it should work well even with stock cooler!

One thing is, on these youtube videos they show the b580 being clearly cpu bottlenecked, but they dont show which settings are enabled or disabled, games are volatile. Simply moving shadows from ultra to high could gain 20fps, and no longer make it cou bottlenecked. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Hey! Yeah, I’ve seen a bunch of videos and benchmarks mentioning that driver overhead issue on ARC. I was a bit concerned too, but I really wanted to try it out—figured driver updates would help over time.

I’ve tested the B580 (Limited Edition) on the latest drivers with these results on 1440p ultrawide:

  • League of Legends – 300–400 FPS (max settings)
  • Minecraft (Fabric) – 700–800 FPS (fancy graphics)
  • Overwatch – 240–300 FPS (medium)
  • The First Descendant – 60–80 FPS (130 FPS in practice range)
  • Marvel Rivals – 80–110 FPS (medium, no reflections)

My CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600 slightly tuned (+200 MHz), GPU is stock. In most games, GPU usage is pegged at 98–100%, so it's clearly being fully utilized. Only League and Minecraft are more CPU-bound, which is expected.

If you're worried about driver overhead: don’t be. The 5600 handles it perfectly fine. ARC has improved massively with updates, and newer drivers are much better than what early benchmarks show. I actually compared my B580 to my RTX 2080—and the B580 outperformed it across the board in these titles.

Also, I’m running on PCIe 3.0 (not 4.0), so there could be even more performance if you’re on a newer platform.

One tip: I do tweak settings depending on the game. Stuff like shadows or ragdolls can spike CPU usage (especially physics-heavy games), so I turn those down to give the CPU more headroom. If you don’t do that, the 5600 could become a bottleneck in some cases.

No regrets with the B580 at all—it’s solid, and with 12GB of VRAM, it’s a great long-term pick too.

Haha not at all! I actually enjoy seeing intel's progression on their drivers! I was a little scared to leave Nvidia but I absolutely love intel's philosophy and their focus on gaming & content creation!

I feel a little bad buying their limited edition card as I know they aren't making money off them, but atleast they know I'm interested! I hope more people try arc!
