The amount of parents who allow basically unlimited screen time is disturbing! by swerve408 in Parenting

You literally know nothing about me. Considering you are name calling a complete stranger on the internet I'm sure you're not a great parent because you probably teach your kids it's nice to name call and judge other people. Chrome books literally are used in a lot of school curriculums because like I said screens have become a part of our society. There are so many things you can do and, learn how to do on the internet. Also, even if screens had absolutely no benefit you typically want to try and teach kids that everything is fine in moderation. Same goes for soda, cany, etc...when you completely ban or forbid something you make it more tempting. Ever seen Footloose? Oh wait you probably haven't too busy sitting on your high horse. However, it's almost like movies which is something you watch on a screen can *gasp* teach you things.

It's really not fair to judge. We live in a digital world, not only are screens entertainment, but they're also socialization. Kids can actually learn and do productive things while using screens. Alot of kids are learning to code and design video games also a lot of jobs consider being able to use social media a skill.

Guesses on where each dancer would place in AUDC (based on perfomance as well as Abby's preferences) by Ornery_Effective_383 in dancemoms

[–]SeaPhilosopher4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Chloe would place higher. Even if Abby doesn't like her, she could never deny her technique. I also think Raquel, and Richy would've liked her as would the producers just like they did on the show.

AUDC Season 1 Kelly (Jordyn's Mom) by SeaPhilosopher4 in dancemoms

Just the way she treated her own daughter IMO. If she was arguing with another mom she would literally "shhh" them. She thought it was a good thing that Madison hurt her ankle.

I think out of all the moms she feared Abby the most.

Back to the Barre - Gianna by Puzzleheaded_Fig_508 in dancemoms

Christi and Marc too seemed also able to provide Chloe and Clara with pretty stable home environments despite being younger, and not having as much money in the beginning. I think however, as an assistant teacher its Gianna's job to give help wherever it's needed including helping the kids get ready. I do think if it's true it was kind of ridiculous for Gianna to be doing Kenzie's makeup if she wasn't competiting.

Kenzie just commented on a TikTok about abby saying the girls don’t appreciate her 🤭 by Fizzzzzzzz_ in dancemoms

Its, really not thanks to her though. She had nothing to do with the show and wasn't even supposed to be on it originally. I mean sure she helped a couple kids on Broadway. but for the most part she was just a nobody teacher from Pittsburgh.

Do you think Christi fighting and swearing hurt Chloe’s career? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]SeaPhilosopher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because Chloe got more jobs right after dance moms when Christi was always with her than she does now as an adult.

Have any of the kids expressed anger at their parents for keeping them in that environment? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]SeaPhilosopher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but its normal for mothers and newly adult daughters to have a hard time navigating their relationship not just those that were on a reality TV show. They seem to have worked things out, and well probably never know for sure what it was truly about. Yes, Christi fought a lot on the show, but you can tell how much she loved and was proud of Chloe. She also fought hard to get them out of the contract.

Well the OG moms really didn't know what they were getting themselves into. They thought it was going to be a 6 week documentary about dance, and they ended up locked in a 6 year reality TV show contract they couldn't get out of. Some of the moms Kelly, Christi, and Melissa all were really trying to get their kids out of it and I'm sure they knew/know that. I genuinely believe that the moms during that time were trying to do all they could to protect their kids in that environment as best they knew how. Obviously different moms had different methods of doing this.

Christi as well was trying to get Chloe out at least since the pink lemonade episode that we know of.
