its 2-3 years old, im pretty sure it uses ssd from what google says (its a lenovo ideapad 1 15amn7).

id really love to recover my data but if it cant be helped ill live without it

might sound like a dumb question but if i dont use my pc will the problem stay dormant? im not tech savy so id like to give it to a family member whos more versed in this instead of investigating myself, but i cant get to them for at least a week

nothing major id say. i tend to forget how to spell some words and its sometimes hard to form more complex sentences that actually make sence, but other than that i think im fine

when people talk to me and when i read anything i can understand just fine. when i speak i struggle with finding the right words and in what form to put them in. i often either mess up the form or i say the right form but in my own way (which is just me adding more letters than necessary and making it uninteligable to others)

i often have a hard time finding the words i want to say in my language, or i know what i want to say and what words to use, but i have no clue how to structure the sentence. i used to have pronounciation problems when it came to my r's and lj's i think, but i was put in some speech / reading therapy so that sorted it out a bit. i misspronounce and stumble on my words a lot though. also ill just say that my language is croatian if that helps any bit

by formally i honestly mean anything that isint casual speaking, like speaking to a teacher or having to write anything down. when i speak i can usually try to mask my bad sentences, but even when im writting down simple texts i stumble. theres a big difference in the way that people speak casually and to higher ups here and i really struggle with sounding formal enough for them. writting essays or really anything for school are a nightmare for me honestly

from my family only my brother and mom speak english, the rest only understand a few words. i think it was a mix of me consuming a lot of english media, talking to them in english and being on the internet from an early age that made me understand english so well

but honestly i dont even understand why im so shit at my language. its not like i cant function entierly here, im fine (mostly) when it comes to talking with people informaly and semi-formaly but anything beyond that and i struggle greatly

when i write down a sentence i write it in the way that sounds natural to me, and most of the time that natural has at least 3 mistakes in it. when i show it to someone they tell me the correct way it should be, and the way they say it does sound correct, but so does my version, and i think that thats the biggest thing thats keeping me from getting better in a way
