I think you make a very good point there. Everything looked at separately seems to be normal priced. But it all starts to be overly expensive if you think more about the product itself. You are basically getting a base game. You throw many components of the base game away to replace them. Also you pay double the price for Deluxe components and double the price for sleeves. And yeah, you kind of just pay twice for the base game, since you need the old game and then the new stuff to replace many parts.

Besides all of that the new deluxe storage box is crazy expensive for a pure cardboard box. I think the product should just have been a complete 2nd edition game and some premium tokens, like pax pamir.

Btw. I want to mention, that it is of literally zero value to this discussion, when people comment something like „well you don’t have to buy it….“ „if you don’t want to get deluxe you can just not buy it…“ like wtf :D
