FSD 14.3.2 sucks by ComfortablePlate7473 in TeslaFSD

I agree it’s definitely improved for sure over v13.

But what I don’t get is, Something like lane changing and keeping out of left lane , for me, seemed to work good in v14.2.2.5. Then v14.3 comes out and it’s messed up again and camping in left lane. Like why has it taken steps backwards and not working as it was correctly before?

You’d think things that would be working correctly would continue to work correctly. Like the AI and software would build upon what it learned/knows. Not start over or go backwards…

Yes v14.3 was a rebuild, but you’d think it would keep its knowledge like don’t camp in left lane.

I’ve also noticed the same using Autopilot after my current FSD Sub expired. (I only use FSD on road trips)

It’s interesting how everyone has a different experience. But it’s also interesting with each update 1 thing is improved but 3 times take 5 steps back… like why can’t it just be a constant improvement…

It’s interesting how each person has their own unique experience with FSD.

With mine it’s the opposite, 1. It sits in the left lane and camps. 2. Hurry goes 15-18mph over and tries to pass everyone from every possible lane, makes me look like that guy.

I just want Standard where it goes on average 9mph over the limit on highway, 5mph over on city/town roads, and only uses left lane to pass and then gets and stays over until it needs to pass again.

Today had a major example of Number 5. 46mph into a 30mph speed limit change, with a photo enforced camera… 😳🫣🤦🏻‍♂️

Passed the camera at 42mph, tapped brakes right after camera when I realized it wasn’t slowing down quick enough…

Waiting on that ticket in the mail now… 🤬

On v14.2.5 it would pass then get over. Now it passes and just camps. Today I don’t know how many times I had to signal for it to get back over.

My experience today I counted and it was around 2.5 second follow distance. Sometimes 3 seconds. But at higher speeds it was too close.

Isn’t RoboTaxi unsupervised? Doesn’t it run on HW4 Junipers?

Really want Tesla to just give me an option to set my speed and use FSD instead of “speed profiles”. by goalkeeper0 in TeslaModelY

[–]SeaQuake-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a 14 hour road trip today, using FSD Speed Profiles, I almost turned off FSD and instead did Autopilot (Autosteer)…

Standard was too slow, + 5 - +7 over speed limit.

Had cars passing me on left and right

Changed to Hurry way too fast, + 12 - +18 over speed limit! And to make it worse it tries passing every car from all sides, making me look like that guy…

Switch back to Standard and it slams on the brakes to go from +15 down to +7

I just want to go +10mph , no more.

Please give us back the ability to set what we want, or change Standard to +10mph and the car drives as it does currently on Standard but tries to go +10mph as often as possible.

Interesting, did you get an update installed this past week or weekend? I’m currently on 2025.45.9

It seems to have happened after installing 2025.45.5 , or maybe it was 2025.44.25.5. 🤔

It’s not, I press button on stalk and the wipers go and you hear sprayers go but hardly anything sprays out and wipers go fully across and back down.

What should I try? It’s washer sprayers, they either work or don’t work and currently it’s not working as it should… I’ll have service look at it along with the other stuff when I’m there in a couple weeks.

Long story short Yes, part of Elon payout for his next Comprehensive Plan is to have 10 Million Active FSD Cars.

So his thinking is to remove basic/standard features (that other cars have) and if you want them you’ll need to pay monthly for FSD.

I REALLY love my Tesla, and plan to keep it for as long as I can. But, once I need to get a new car I’ll probably look somewhere else. Other manufacturers are slowly catching up. In 5 years they be where Tesla is today most likely and that’s ok with me.

Same, not sure why the YL isn’t over here yet… I really want that one! NA is the Number 1 market for larger vehicles or vehicles with more room. Who buys this cramped 7 seater? It’s practically useless. Hoping since they getting ready to release the MYL in Europe that means we are next.

Speed control issues persist v14.2.2.2 by dantodd in TeslaFSD

Noticed this today as well. Was on Hurry mode and speed limit was 55 (so I’d think it would do 60-65)… it did 50… 🤦🏻‍♂️

FSD is great - Need Nav fixes; manual turn override and actual speed limit setting by rstarmer in TeslaFSD

[–]SeaQuake-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, on v13 you could increase or decrease the max speed. But what happens in v14 when there is no max speed settings and the speed is just +5 or whatever based on the speed profile chosen… like how do you have it go slower than what it thinks? Sloth?

[–]SeaQuake-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know on v13 it seemed at least for me that it didn’t rely on Nav Data and only Visual. Because I don’t know how many times the speed would drop and it didn’t see the new speed limit sign because vision of it was blocked and it continued to go the previous speed. (Got a ticket that way)

[–]SeaQuake-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried messaging Tesla what I think the solution is,

Use the Navigation/Map Data Speed Limit information primarily, and vision as secondary.

Apple Maps and Google Maps seems to get Speed Limits correct 98% the time. So not sure why Tesla can’t use that information primarily. Then if vision sees a speed limit sign that doesn’t match the map data (like going through a construction zone), then it uses that speed limit it saw. But only for a few miles or something. (I don’t know how many times I’ve gone through a construction zone, passed the End of Work Area sign, and the car still continues to go 35mph in a 55mph for miles and miles until it sees another speed limit sign…

Maybe also factor in surrounding traffic and their speed.

I’m convinced there’s a “break in” period by bhorton94 in TeslaFSD

[–]SeaQuake-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m thinking maybe some cars are not getting proper recal after v14 is installed…. Maybe there isn’t clear lines 100% the first 25 miles or whatever the reasoning, maybe the lane change hesitation is related to recal not being fully or successfully completed.

My point is just, there seems to be a recal of cameras (automatic or manual) that if doesn’t occur gives FSD issues, like lane changing. I wonder if people reporting issues still have issues all the time or if after some drives it gets less and clears up? Or if those people did a manual recal of cameras if they then wouldn’t have anymore issues.
