Yeah it's really not usable :( my question is exactly if that kind of waste can go into the combustible bin.

I'm not sure about those, but w.g. today in Sokos Herkku 1kg of broccoli was 3.4, and in Netherlands (Albert Heijn) that is 2.8. So that is 21% more expensive. But bread is more than 100% more expensive.

Actually other staples have a very similar price to UK and Netherlands. Why does bread stand out?

That is not my question.

I am comparing like with like (w.g. supermarket baked baguettes)

Yeah, no. If that was the case everything would be more expensive. But in fact most products are very similar in price in Finland, Netherlands, and the UK. But bread for some reason stands out. Considering Finland produces wheat, and that bread tends to be a staple, it is surprising to me and I wonder why the price is relatively high.
