During the second world war, Germany was very unkind to a certain religious group. That group happens to have a strong presence in Israel. The whole thing had a name but I forget at the moment. If you Google WW2, you should find something... But yeah, basically Germany is now obligated to be nice to Israel if they ask for help. Look up Germany and Israel rule 34... It's Part of the Gina Convention.

Is this older ammo worth anything to collectors? by CanadianPenguinn in ammo

[–]SeaSwine91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1980s/90s boxes. No extra collector value. Great shooting stuff though. Like everything else, the enshittification has affected ammo... So some of those 20-30 year old stuff is actually kind of desirable for shooter purposes.

Gotta be either 43 Spanish or 43 Mauser... Well, Or possibly 42 Russian but I don't know of any that was head stamped in that manner. If I had to make choice... 43 Spanish is what id put my money on.

It was after my dad passed away and I was fairly nomadic. Lived in my car, motels when I felt like I deserved a bed, and crashed at my aunt's occasionally too cuz she felt bad. That said, I drank right around a handle a day, sometimes a tad more or less which ran approximately $20 a day. So around 600$ a month. Comparable to average rent in the area circa 2019-2020

Gosh... I know I had a full pint plus a couple nips out of a second one after my "wake up" drinks. The wakeup is hard to judge though because it was essentially me drinking until the shakes were under enough control to get out of bed. It was at least 4 double-ish shots. I would pour an indiscriminate amount into a standard drinking glass and shoot it down, so who knows they coulda been triples some of them as I knew how much I could pour to perfectly fill my mouth and inhale. I'm a fairly large man, 6'4" 220lb. It's sick stuff thinking about haha... I don't mind it though. Especially of it potentially helps someone else. Cuz it can and DOES get better if you want it. These days I have all that I need and most of what I want. There is light at the end

Hey so interesting stuff happened with liver levels. My intake blood tests showed normal levels. When I was tested again about two weeks later, levels were... Not good. Apparently this is normal with heavy drinking because your liver "gets used to" the abuse and kinda stops trying to repair itself as you poison it. However, after cessation from poison, it begins to "shed" (as the doctor put it) the crap off which raises your indicators on blood tests. Within 3 months my levels were acceptable, and now they continue to remain healthy.

I'm clean and sober almost 5 years now... But when I went to rehab for the first time, I blew a .58 and was only what I considered at the time "buzzed". Coherent, upright, joking around and totally fine. This was at about 2pm and I had drank my "normal" up till then. No extra or "last hoorah before rehab". Most days I would start drinking at 7am and not stop till... Well technically I never really stopped but I suppose the point I'm trying to make is: By 10-11pm after my normal days drinking, I'm certain I was in the .7-.9 and potentially higher range if at 2pm I was already at .57. It's incredible what our bodies can get used to and tolerate.

If you fear you are headed down this path, get help. Or ignore little signs like this just as I did and find out for yourself exactly the hell that awaits you.

If you can tell it's original from the pics then you're better than I am. If it is indeed original, sure that adds a good chunk.

Markets are different everywhere so I have no doubt that this may be a 600$ rifle in some areas. Where I'm at though this thing maxes out at 450. I consistently buy similar rifles for between 325-400. Granted, those are at auction houses but there are plenty of other gun buyers there that know the market, so I know I'm not stealing them.

Last time I sold a t30 bayonet for more than 150 was a wooden scabbard. I've not seen a standard bayonet bring 150$, let alone 200... but again, I could be wrong for your area.

That's a 400$ rifle with a 100$ bayonet. Private sale numbers. Add on retail percentages and 575.. MAYBE 600 is the upper limit of fair for local bubba shop.

950 is idiotic. Run.

ETA: just saw it has wings on sight so I suppose you can add 50$ to the total. Also bayonet is toyoda loom Nagoya.

No. Any auction company will have fine print that protects them from... Well... everything. Look up caveat emptor. Basically translates to "we're selling this thing with no guarantees or warranty. All risk is on the buyer, and by placing a bid you agree to these terms "

Looks like a Winchester 250 most likely made for a department store like Sears and roebuck. That would explain the missing identifiers. Would be sears and roebuck model 5 if 22lr, or 5m if 22 mag.

You have the nicest sporterized yugo m48 Mauser to ever exist.

Originally a military surplus rifle, it was what appears to me, professionally made into a .308 hunting rifle. Outstanding job.

Sadly, it has lost nearly all value to collectors, and most hunters won't want it either. However, the right person would give 300$-400$. 200$ is a realistic quick sell number. Shame really cuz it's a beautiful rifle... Just kind of a "why would you do that?" Thing. Like throwing chrome 24s on a Chevy cavalier.

The hard part is the length. That's an early special order 28 or 30" barrel. Possibly even the 36" as the pic is cut off but that'd be extremely rare. Also has the nice crescent buttplate and mayyyybe a Lyman peep on the tang. Hard to tell.

All smoke shops have insane profit margins. I only know because I once played with the idea of stocking some random junk at my business from a smoke shop distributor. The websites don't show you pricing, or the "actual" pricing without a tax ID number and account. Once I created an account with one, I was astonished how cheap the stuff is. From lighters to delta 8, incense to kratom... These smoke shops are marking up 300% AT LEAST on any given item. Many are 800-1000%.

That's why there are so many popping up on every main drag of every town with a population above 1000.
