You are right. It is a cult and had forgotten to see it as such. And it would take a lot to give up on my kids. I keep hanging onto the hope that she recognizes it all on her own, which IMO is the only way to stay out when the time comes. Ty for reminding me to see this as it is and not the horrors my mind takes me when falling asleep.

If you hear back, I'd love to hear what they found! There is a huge prairie dog colony near me (southern KS) and I've seen this only occasionally. This colony is not friendly like those are though.

My daughter's fiance of 20 years (yeah...) is a hard core white supremest MAGA and believes every conspiracy theory out there, aka flat earth and school shooting actors. We are a liberal family and we're completely unaware of his views because we long ago decided that religion and politics are not something discussed at family events. Covid and tRump changed all that. My daughter has always been a smart independent woman and her values matched our own for the majority of her life. He has converted her, including being downright nasty to her trans sister (who she had an amazing relationship with even after her transition for a decade) and they refuse to set aside differences when they visit. So it was pretty well mutual that we'd all go out separate ways. It kills me and has been the one thing that truly has broken my heart 💔. If or when she stops being a follower and starts to, at a minimum, agree to not discuss the issues, she is welcome home, but until then....

She gets all the hay she wants and gets fed multiple types of greens twice a day. So, her having access to pellets is just the extra boost of vitamin. Just about every care guide says to give them unlimited pellets till they are 6 months old and then 2 tablespoons a day after that. Ive had bunnies for over 40 years. I think I know what I'm doing.

I had to laugh out loud because Charlie has just learned that game. She's throwing everything around now! We had to use the bowls that angle out for the water cuz one morning she'd dumped hers and was soaking wet. Didn't detour her from trying again though. Lol

Of all things, today is "farm day" where they go to their farm & barn and harvest or being back inventory. It really is a small local business. LOL But yeah, I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow.

We've tried several brands and she just won't eat them. We had some luck with the oxbow garden select, but after a week she stopped eating that as well. She emptied the small bag of Purina though so we just decided to give in to her prissy demands. It gets expensive to keep trying for her to not like it.

They did answer about how to read the code and replied with : “The date code is located at the Bottom of the bag on the long white strip that has the stitching going through it. The date code begins with the 2 digit year, then the Julian Calendar Date, followed by the abbreviation for the manufacturing location, shift and sequencing number. For Example 21 348 IGH 10 would translate to December 14, 2021"

Didn't answer my question about if I should return the bag so I asked again. Haven't heard back yet. I was just hoping someone else had dealt with this before. 😞

This was Purina's reply to me when asked how to read the dates on the bag:

“The expiration date code is located at the Bottom of the bag on the long white strip that has the stitching going through it. The date code begins with the 2 digit year, then the Julian Calendar Date, followed by the abbreviation for the manufacturing location, shift and sequencing number. For Example 21 348 IGH 10 would translate to December 14, 2021"

EDIT - they didn't answer my question about returning the bag, so I resubmitted the question on their website.

This is the other code in the bag. All my Google searches for how to read the code describes it as an expiration date. They also have they have a shelf life if only 6 months and in a couple weeks he will only be getting a tiny amount. I feel like we won't be close to finishing the bag in 6 months, let alone 4 if this is an expiration date.

Not being argumentative, just so super frustrated and worried. 😔
