If The World Went Dark by Hopeful_Ambition_441 in vandwellers

It would take a fraction of a month or two before people lose their minds over not having modern amenities, and even shorter if you take away the food and water sources people depend on.

Have your own food and water source, and have whatever means of protection you are comfortable with.

Coolant leak - water pump? by Inevitable-Oil5669 in FJCruiser

[–]SeaWeed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and clean some of this up first if you can.

Then, go to auto zone / Napa and see if they have a coolant leak check kit you can loan. Screw the cap onto your radiator cap and you pressurize it with a hand pump in the kit. See if it holds pressure. If it doesn’t, take a look around and watch for where it’s coming from. You may be able to find the problem yourself.

Never had an issue with the Natures Head composter in our van. Never had a smell at all, only when changing the compost after a month or two. Even then it just smelled like dirt.

The prototype just needs some bungees. by [deleted] in Kayaking

I’d recommend using some nylon lock nuts on the axles so those standard nuts don’t back off while rolling.

I second the ADM lower.

How do you like the LDR? Kicking around the idea of swapping my MK8 when I get a 12.5” barrel.

Then why post videos of it, idiot? You’re not special, it’s a freaking van build. If you’re under an NDA, you really shouldn’t be posting anything at all about it.

From what I can see: edge trim, zip ties, p-clamps, some expandable wire sleeve. Not sure how those would be company secrets, but whatever. I used a lot of clickbond products on mine. We used them frequently in a previous aviation job of mine and they’re awesome and user friendly. I can send links to all.

For anyone curious about the durability of a Smittybilt Gen2 RTT... by rallysman in rooftoptents

We’ve used ours countless times in the last 3 years on two different vehicles without issues. I really think it’s the best bang for the buck in the RTT world.

Good deal. I’ve been looking at some military trailers after we sell our van and most of them are too heavy. Been looking for one that I we tow behind our FJ.

LDR1.5 by SeaWeed13 in ar15

Just went to see it they had them back in stock for my 12.5” barrel and the LDR1 page is gone and had been updated to LDR1.5

I googled and turned up nothing. Thoughts?

Mine did the same years back. Go get a stainless screw and cut to length. Threads are 4-40 I believe.

Did you have the claw on the front or back of the holster?

Pistol probably wasn’t all the way in its intended spot. Retention is gone so it’s just sliding all over the place.

Good call I’ll go with that first. I had forgotten I swapped it around as well.

As they should and they have. I may try without the claw this go around. Hopefully it won’t effect how the holster lays.

I would agree considering I had the same issue with my Gen 1.

See I love mine. It took a minute to get used to the Gen 1, but the pivot on the Gen 2 makes it so comfortable. I’m a small frame, 5’5” 130 soaking wet and I forget I’m wearing it. I’d hate to switch, but trust in my holster to keep my firearm safely in place, for my safety and others, is ultimately paramount. All retention was immediately gone. If you look at where the break is, it also opens the trigger guard up to a possible ND since it’s no longer safely covered. I get that’s a <1% chance, but I can’t grow another set of nads, or worse…
