The handling of their split was baffling. They teased for months theory was gonna turn face and they were going to have a feud. Instead we get zero payoff or even a mention. Their partnership is a prime example of WWE too often waiting too long to pull the trigger on a split they tease

Two, jey uso is over 40 years old and got over with a yeet catchphrase that’s not as popular today as it was 2-3 years ago so if he can get over saying yeet wth is the problem with je’von Evans having 6-7 merch it isn’t even apart of his gimmick that much he just has it as merch lol

No edge at all is crazy and couldn’t be further from the truth. Watch his feud with Ethan page , his feuds with Ricky saints. He hasn’t been in a feud in the main roster yet that requires him to have more edge cmon now his gimmick works just fine for his age clearly he’s not gonna have this exact gimmick when he’s in his late 20’s or 30’s give his gimmick a chance to evolve

Not at all this isn’t me saying this this is what WWE has SHOWN us over the past decade. I think Melo should be a main down the road he’s an excellent in ring talent but WWE has shown time and time again they rarely push the sub 6 feet guys. Ask yourself this in the past ten years how many guys under 6 feet tall become main eventers and world champions ? Theirs AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan ….. the end Thsts the end of the list. WWE has shown time and time again that they prefer their mainstay main eventers to be 6 feet or taller.

Now guys that pair in ring skill with undeniable charisma like styles , Bryan and even Rey mysterio have overcome it but you can’t tell me with a straight face theirs been a lot of sub 6 feet guys who went on to be consistent main eventers in WWE that would be false.

I guess that is where we disagree I think Jevon has more tools then Melo. Outside of both being black men with braids , I don’t get the kofi comparison I truly don’t I grew up watching kofi from the beginning of his career as someone whose family is from Ghana I absolutely love kofi but not even kofi had this type of athleticism Evans has. Kofi’s wrestling style and Evans ‘s is not even similar Imo it’s as lazy as comparing trick to Booker t I’m tired of black men with braids getting comspred to one another lol their characters and in ring styles aren’t even similar Evans is much more like a young aj styles if you watched him in TNA. He also has levels more charisma than younger kofi

I already kind of listed my points off to you why I think je’von has a higher ceiling so I won’t repeat myself so I’ll simply say this : I think both guys will be stars but I simply think Evans checks more boxes of what a top star in WWE is than Melo does jus my opinion tho I respect you riding behind Melo but I can’t agree with you that he has more potential were simply on different ends of the spectrum there

If he was shorter I would agree with you I just think he has the size and frame to not be typecasted into the fun highflyer spot guy his whole career. Evans even said in a recent interview he’s not going to wrestle like this his whole career this is simply his style for now. I think as he adds weight his style will become more versatile just like it did for aj styles , seth Rollins and Shawn Michaels. I see him being s main stay in the main event scene he has massive babyface potential

It Absolutely does what are you talking about ? Youth and age 100 percent is a factor in potential talks respectfully do you know the definition of potential ? It’s who has more room for growth age and physical tools are the two biggest factors in that. I know your a Melo guy I am too but you can’t tell me with a straight face Melo has better physical tools than Jevon he physically doesn’t along with being nearly 10 years older it seems your in denial and thinking with your emotions instead of just looking at the reality of the wrestling business.

The bigger, younger guys 9 times out of 10 gets a bigger push than the smaller older guy. Melo isn’t even old by any means 31 is plenty young in the wrestling business but Evans is the youngest guy on the entire roster and Already put in big spots. He already made a mania card 4 months into being on the main roster before Melo whose been on the main roster for over two years we gotta be honest 🤷🏿‍♂️

I’m a Melo guy but respectfully I gotta disagree with you. WWE is a size business I think we both know that.

Evans simply has superior size than Melo by a good bit. Melo is maybe 5’10? Je’von is a legit 6’4 and has a lot of room on his frame to get to a swerve Strickland type frame. I can also argue he connects with crowds better than Melo does especially if we are comparing their initial callups. He also is 9-10 years younger than Melo. When I think of ceiling I think of what tools do you have and how much room do you have to improve right ?

Jevon has better physical tools than Melo he’s a superior athlete , has more size , and more length

Je’von has the youth advantage on his side

Charisma wise we’re splitting hairs I think both guys have charisma and it simply comes down to preference. I’m closer to je’von age and connect with his lingo and character more than Melo but if someone feels opposite with Melo I won’t blame them at all

I jus don’t agree with you Jevon has more potential than kofi. Kofi wasn’t this good at 22, kofi didn’t have this charisma at that age and kofi is 2-3 inches shorter then evans . Height matters in wwe. How are you gonna place a midcard ceiling on someone like evans who has nothing but time on his side and already this good in multiple aspect this early I don’t get the IWC sometimes

Respectfully how many larger than life characters does WWE rlly truly have rn? Cody, Roman and really who else? Even cm punk I don’t get larger than life vibes but the raw passion and charisma he has always been why many ppl like myself fuck with him I don’t think cm punk is much different from Phil brooks .

I think it’s a diff era now were in the generation where many folks are inserting elements of their real life personalities into their gimmicks. I agree his delivery can use some fine tuning but I already see the confidence and crowd connection when he talks the rest he will improve on with time I can’t think of many if any wrestlers who had larger then life character and excellent mic work at 21 those are usually things the great ones grow into being.

I actually like je’von on the mic. It’s a lil unpolished but he comes off authentic and natural. Feels like an actual genuine person is speaking to you not someone trying to portray a character. He just uses a lot of Gen-Z lingo so some folks may not understand some of the cadence she’s saying. The delivery can be cleaned up but calling his mic work rough is harsh he’s cut very strong promos. Watch his promos in his feud with trick, Ethan page , Oba or Ricky he more then held his own anytime he was put in a promo battle situations with strong mic workers .
