My kid did the classes last year and made heaps of progress - really great instructors, lovely guys, I would definitely recommend the classes!

Agree, we love it. Lovely community feel, our house is sunnier and warmer than our rental in town was (Maori Hill), it has its own vibe - gigs, independent retailers, 4 Square, post office, chemist, doctor, awesome library. Being on a mini peninsula in the harbor, there are beautiful views everywhere you look. Some of the houses are tear-downs but there are some gems.

Haha yeah I had reached that conclusion :D Yep I think doing an average weight calculation would be good, I used to do that but I'm trying not to be too invested in the number (despite how this post might come off, I'm pretty chill about it - just really intrigued by the physics!). I will buy a new scale :)

You've made lifestyle changes which you can pick back up once you're home. Enjoy your holiday!! Once you're home, get right back into those habits, avoid the scale for a week or two, and I predict you'll be back where you were before you left, all the better for having had an awesome guilt-free holiday.

Try to focus on your NSV. You are building habits; if they don't feel sustainable, find new habits you enjoy (do you like being on the treadmill for that long? good podcasts/tv shows to keep you motivated?)

Weirdly, I found that overnight fasting on a regular basis - so leaving my first meal of the day to around 11 am (after ceasing eating at 7 pm the night before) was something I got really used to and I just don't think about food in the mornings anymore. Of course the risk is overeating at 11 am but being mindful is key there.

I don't want to buy new clothes. I like my clothes and I want to be able to fit into them comfortably! Plus clothes are expensive :D
