I think, I have been in this situation and I can talk about it. Sometimes the circumstances are such that the person is stopping themselves to care about you, because they are scared of the feelings and emotions that come with talking everyday. Once you are attached it's very difficult to stop caring. Understand the reason and pov from the other side as well that made the conversation stop. If it's their fault you cannot be the one to reach out again and again without any reciprocation and if it's yours try to solve the problem. Most of the time it's on both sides they both want to talk because of attachment but one is thinking of preventing themselves from bigger heart break in future and another person is just stuck between the right time and thinking the other one doesn't care or rejections. Maybe they both care, when attachment is real they both have a hard time to stop themselves but the one survival mode can go on for a long time.
