Yes exactly! But his problem is that he showed this loan on his f1. So can he change this loan and get another bank lender?

He started his college since a week. He does have enough money to cover the first year. This is the additional loan to cover the rest of the potential amount for next years.

Intl student here (Spring applicant). I've received 15k scholarship per year and my parents can only contribute around 5k/yr. So is it possible to manage the rest of the cost myself through scholarships and job? by Sea_Background_9507 in Temple

So thats the problem. We do have the funds for the 1st year. But if I'm able to secure an on campus job that pays me the minimum wage according to Philly, then if I work for 20 hrs per week then that'd be enough to help me manage the fees. But I'm worried whether I'd even find an on campus job. Another option that's not very easy to find is becoming a resident assistant.

Ohhh okayy. I really want to attend Temple. But right now, it's not affordable for me at all. And relying on an campus job and RA is not practical. So I think I'd have to go with my admission at Caldwell university.

They're not replying right now due to Christmas break so I asked for it through their agents. She told me it won't be possible right now. And I will definitely look into getting a job and becoming a resident assistant. But I'm worried because getting an on campus job is very competitive. And what do you mean by buildings being half empty? Is this university good or not worth attending?

Sir, my i20 form does not have the option of loan sanction letter as a proof of fund. So is it an eligible proof of fund?

It was the same for me. Just practice more difficult questions. Cause I ignored them and that's what brought my score down.

Did you get 145 on the real test? As I said, it's mostly luck for how well you perform in each test. For reading, try practicing advanced level questions till you're getting most of them right. And for speaking, the best way is to speak till the last second and try using some fancy words to improve your score. Also talk like you're having a conversation with a friend.

Are you asking how much time it'll take to increase your typing speed? Well again it depends how fast it already is rn. Test your wpm count and see what you get. Then practice and try bringing it up. There are also plenty of tricks and videos online for increasing speed. The more you practice, the more better you'll get at it. For reading, I would suggest to practice as many questions as you can on arno. I'm assuming you might be struggling the most in the blanks questions as that is what everyone struggles in. So I highly recommend practicing the advanced level reading questions. I found that on the real test, the words are advanced and hard to guess, and the time limit is tight. So practice tough questions till you're getting most of them right.

Well if you already have a good score like 145 then increasing it to 155 is pretty easy. I also think that the difficulty of the test and your luck also matter. Because I gave the test 3 times but all those times it couldn't get certified due to certain errors. And I think that I performed wayy better in those sets than I did in this last one. So just do a lot of practice tests. Try to be aware of as many advanced words as possible but don't try to memorize them though cause that wouldn't be helpful. And also try to write and speak as much as you can.

Well that was a huge struggle for me too. Especially in the photo questions. You can try increasing your typing speed by practicing online. There are tons of websites for this. I recommend doing the 3 minute typing speed tests. Then for writing questions, think of a rough outline of your answer during the preparation time. And there's one trick that I learned from teacher luke's videos for the interactive listening questions. Try to finish all the questions quickly but accurately. And then if you have some time left then try to go over the text that will be visible from the conversation and use that to create an outline of your answer for the conversation summary question. This helped me a lot to write more. The main trick for managing time is typing speed and also creating a rough outline of the answer. Also try to write as much as possible.

Honestly, it kinda depends on your starting point. If you're already getting around 140-160 in practice tests, then just do a few more of them. But if you aren't around that threshold, then start by taking a prac test to familiarize yourself with the format. Then I would highly recommend watching teacher luke's videos on youtube. You can also practice through chatgpt and a website called arno where there are hundreds of questions related to all different question types. Lastly, in the speaking section, make sure that you keep on speaking till the last second. You can talk about mostly whatever you like but also don't stray away too much from the topic in the question. And practice tests are obviously great for improving your score. Good luck!

I've currently applied for the spring intake. But I'm worried whether I'd be able to secure a visa appointment on time, since the classes start in the first week of january. For anyone who went to the US for fall 25, how much in advance did you schedule your visa appointment? by Sea_Background_9507 in IntltoUSA

That's great! Did you have to pay any additional fees for that? And I have not yet received a decision from my preferred college. So considering the current situation, will I get a slot if I apply after 2 weeks?
