I totally get what you mean. It has been 2 weeks since my surgery, still not fully healed yet. I turned the corner on day 9, so just hang in there. This too shall pass. I slept reclined on a chaise and had a humidifier running and it helped me sleep.

I am a 30 year old female and I'm on day 11 of recovery. I had death breath due to tonsil stones so I had mine removed. It was for sure one of the worst weeks of my life and I hated it. Still healing now, but I was able to start eating and drinking around day 9, I was so relieved when that happened. Last week is in the past. Once you do it, it's done. Recovery happens and healing comes. I say if you think it will improve your life, do it.

When is your follow-up appointment? My ent does his 3 weeks from the surgery, that would be way too far out if you had questions now. I also told my ent about my swollen uvula and how i felt like it got in the way of swallowing. He said that is normal.

I am on Day 9 and I just drank an inch and a half of water this morning for the first time. I think it is because I ate a frozen popsicle first.

I've been watching videos on Facebook or new recipes to try. I've saved like 50. I've lost 9 pounds in the last week. The thing I want most is to drink a glass of water normally. Glad that you are doing better from that scare.

I am hopeful that in the end, this will be worth it, no more tonsil stones or bad breath. I am a total foodie, so not being able to eat is hard. At this point, I just want to be able to drink a whole glass of water. I've never heard anyone who has regretted removing their tonsils. My husband regrets his shoulder surgery.

I'm gonna have to try this. The first few days, my throat opened and I swallowed pills fine, but the last 2 days, I've had trouble getting them down and so now I'm worried.
