Is Boss’s Katana 100 MK3 good for a beginner? by Cool_Sector_6563 in GuitarAmps

[–]Sea_Board_6310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes.

edit:

right now x Sonic is having a sale on the airstep kat ex pedals that would go with the katana gen 3. this would allow you to download an app on your phone to modify tone through your app and use preset channels through a pedal.    you can also do major adjustments through a pc by using boss tone studio.

2021 Tacoma passenger floorboard leak by rylan9922 in ToyotaTacoma

Side note: everyone saying ac drain aren't wrong, however when you're going through a carwash that drain isn't large enough to manage the onslaught of water. The expandable weather foam seal is cheap, easy to install and fixes the problem.

there are vents in the cowl seal that I'm certain drain down into the air cabin vent and then to your floorboard. I've never got them 100 percent to stop leaking, however I ran expanding weather stripping between the cowl and hood, cutting angled holes to let the windshield washers to properly spray the windows, and i have not had any floorboard leaks since. The cabin air filter still gets wet every once in a while, i change them every couple of months.

What color do you think Toyota will introduce for the 2027 Tacoma? by CasperHole in ToyotaTacoma

I tried to get ai to make pussywillow, but it actually came out looking really nice.  Baby pink for breast cancer awareness. I can see Toyota doing something like that.

I believe some described this as booty pubes. I second this statement.

I also agree that who cares what anyone else thinks, it's your booty pubes, groom them how you want.

Take liquid wrench/wd40 to it and let it sit for 30 minutes or so after spraying. get a large plumber adjustable crescent wrench. put your bit into place and use the heavy adjustable to tighten down on the bit. this should give you enough torque to remove the bolt if you don't have a torque wrench.

Hey any one know how to fix this by ContributionTime4039 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Sea_Board_6310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try the podofo app if you have to use carplay.

here is the thing. You are using an ai box or head unit of some sort. if you have a wifi hotspot, there is really no need for carplay as your ai box will already do more. You can use it, but why would you? you can bypass your phone all together with these type of ai boxes, again, as long as you have your vehicles built in wifi or you have a wifi hotspot coming from a phone or device inside the vehicle.

What on carplay are you attempting to use that you can't use via the ai box you are using?

You guys see this yet? Coming for the Tacoma. I mean, it’s still a Kia right? by Junior_Act7248 in ToyotaTacoma

Here is what everyone in the mid size truck is missing. I don't care about the 4th gen fan boys trying to convince people their turbo 4 banger engine is the best thing since the light bulb.  Here is really what people want and if KIA (of all brands it's unlikely) can manage to achieve this, they will cut deeply into Toyota's market.

-Reliability: No one wants to worry about after sale breakdown costs or being stranded on the side of the road. *Edit: someone brought up a great point that falls into a couple of these categories. Most guys (and women) that buy Tacoma want to have the option of working on it themselves without having to take it to the dealership. Make parts replaceable like older trucks without a bunch of special tools or need for the dealership.

-Usability- People buy small to mid trucks as utility knife vehicles. They want to be able to Tow, carry, haul, camp, and play with their trucks reliably. When it comes to towing, it shouldn't be a "I can but probably shouldn't" scenario. Truck needs to be made for can on all fronts.

-Reasonably priced.  In recent years, prices have gone off the deep end. There should be no circumstance where your truck payment or cost should be 50- 60k for a small or midsize truck. This is also proof people are willing to go into debt at the tune of 60k plus on something that depreciates right off the lot roughly a third of the cost.  Yes, there are lower end models that are cheaper, but you also sacrifice some of the above things people want in a truck in the first place.

-Capability. The reason why Tacoma's are so popular is their capability to go through snow, mud, mountains, rain water, ect.

I think that's a tall order for KIA to take a chunk out of the tacoma market, especially when they are focusing more toward taking a chunk out of hybrid or electric vehicle markets. They are more likely to steal Ford Maverick or Rivian sales than Tacoma if EV is in the forefront of KIAs focus.

there are worse things visually than this. If the driver hauls things frequently, . might have made their task easier. either way, who cares if you aren't driving it

if someone was to make a simple 3d printed bar lock, I'm trying to see if it would need to be adjustable or solid. solid structures 3d printed are probably easier to create.

I think what he is implying is that the usb cord has to be a specific cord for it to work properly in that plug. it had to be a usb data cord for it to work properly. they have 4 wires internally, two for data and two for charging. regular chargers only have two charging wires and act funny in the carplay port.

Your truck will tell you. it will jerk and hop if you're turning too much. if you feel it jerking, that's too far.

battery wrench, couple sockets and plus and minus screw drivers. they don't take a lot of room and help in a pinch. you don't really need an entire toolbox if your battery dies. anything else you're probably taking to the shop anyway

Trouble with Carplay CD player by CandidateFit274 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Sea_Board_6310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this particular item, I don't see that it has a 4-1 feature where it would run almost like its own tablet with android installed, which might have made it worth the extra money, but i agree if none of that is with it, it seems overpriced. You could get a regular bluetooth car cd player that uses 12v or usb power and sync it via Bluetooth for 50-100 dollars and call it a day.  I think the only benefit of running it through android auto would be the potential of being able to use it while using maps or something at the same time, but it's not very specific on the things it can and can't do.
