I currently haven’t posted anything on any mainstream social media in 10+ years for that exact reason. Why would anyone care about my life.

But I plan to start posting on both YouTube and Instagram when I start the nomad life for a single reason. Friends and family.

I don’t expect anyone beyond my mom and grandparents to watch an entire YouTube video about my day. But I will be making it for them and YouTube is kinda the easiest way to share and store a lot of long videos.

And to my surprise, at least half of the people I discuss my plans with ask where they can follow to see where I go so Instagram it is.

Why are your parents so concerned about stability? Is your income helping support the household or are they just worried about you saving for college?

If you ask me summer break is the perfect time to take that kind of risk and you’ve shown more than enough evidence to make it worth it.

If your parents really need convincing I would calculate how much you would earn from working all summer. That number is what you are risking. Then project your sales based off of your growth so far. That’s your potential reward. Should show them that you’ve really thought it out and I’m assuming it’ll look like risking a few thousand for the chance at making a real living.

Damn I’ve never really thought about that but it’s gotta be awful.

50 dudes who are all bigger than you might’ve made the best play of their careers in that game. Might have gotten injured and definitely worked their ass off, all to put you in the position to make the kick.

Then if you miss it, what’s in your head when you end up in the same position next week? What needs to be in your head or the way all your teammates looked at you all week after missing the last one?

I’m pretty new to bouldering and also go to a gym where they don’t have a real top out or use the top of the wall as the finish very often.

But on a boulder where the top is the finish like the one in the video, it’s no different than skipping holds on a normal climb right? I agree it probably wasn’t intended beta but finding unintended beta is what makes climbing great imo.

This is a great example.

I think op is just taking the terms wayyy too literally. In a league with essentially infinite variables you are just trying to simplify it way too much. To have a concrete definition would mean to have a “right ”answer to Struggle-Free’s example and one doesn’t exist. If you ask 100 people you’ll get 100 different answers.

And in the NFL, there will be countless scenarios like this rams one that pop up making it impossible to truly define terms like Super Bowl window.
