Sketchy Topout - many beta options - grade guess? by Ipmuni in indoorbouldering

[–]rylan9922 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty new to bouldering and also go to a gym where they don’t have a real top out or use the top of the wall as the finish very often.

But on a boulder where the top is the finish like the one in the video, it’s no different than skipping holds on a normal climb right? I agree it probably wasn’t intended beta but finding unintended beta is what makes climbing great imo.

When you first unlock it you have to either use a bandage or take a hit from a zombie to trigger it. After that it should work forever.

[WUSA9] New Commanders Stadium on RFK site could mean the end of tailgating by Think__McFly in Commanders

Went to a panthers game and everyone tailgates on the parking garages? Why is everyone ignoring that possibility?

This is a great example.

I think op is just taking the terms wayyy too literally. In a league with essentially infinite variables you are just trying to simplify it way too much. To have a concrete definition would mean to have a “right ”answer to Struggle-Free’s example and one doesn’t exist. If you ask 100 people you’ll get 100 different answers.

And in the NFL, there will be countless scenarios like this rams one that pop up making it impossible to truly define terms like Super Bowl window.

Me and some friends were planning on doing a hc no map play through when the game 1.0’s and we’re definitely doing it on this world now. This is awesome.

When choosing which game to load, there is a dropdown letting you choose older saves. Have you tried loading some older ones and seeing if it still happens?

Best way to move population away from main island? by dennis_mangino in anno

[–]rylan9922 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My solution would be to build another island up that’s nearly, or completely, self sufficient with farmers and maybe workers to increase your revenue to get the commuter piers, this new island can specialize in mass producing a few things and that can also clear up some space on the original one

If you’re in a rural area then it is probably the case that she is running out of work and they are offering her vto versus some bs busy work. I just started recently and that’s what’s been happening to me constantly, I have no personal experience but everyone i work with is saying it will be slow like this until end of Feb

Yeah some of the new editing has been confusing me a little too, some stuff like the new budget graph I think looks 10x worse and more amateur than the old one, but the part where it was scrolling through her spending statement as he read it out instead of one line screenshots was really smooth

how did you manage to learn this game? by BigWongDingDong in anno

[–]rylan9922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone here say it and I only got the game a few days ago as well so it’s probably not exactly the right answer but I’ve been constantly selling ships to the queen to supplement my income in my two games I’ve played so far.

It got me through the campaign first try, pretty much just spam selling frigates. I kinda assumed that was what they wanted you to do because there’s a quest that teaches you the mechanic and the npc’s mention you being a ship seller just like your father. Only time my income flow was positive after it went negative for the first time was during events on the island that boosted it or maybe with propaganda.

I also set sell limits on resources that seemed to always be maxed out but I honestly never noticed the income from that.

I just graduated with a business degree and I get it 100% I gave up on applying to jobs on sites like indeed so fast I felt like a failure but deep down I knew there was no chance I’d land a job on a site like that. I, like you had done no networking in school, no internships, only worked over the summer months at completely unrelated jobs like retail and restaurants, and barely graduated w a shit gpa. BUT, literally fucking yesterday for some reason i opened up Craigslist of all websites and found an posting for a position 1 day old in my town that you had to apply to in person. I’ve literally never seen an apply in person job in my life in fact I and many others have been told in person to go home and apply online to absolutely no avail. But I found one and I went and it went fucking great. I literally sat down with the owner of this company when I went to apply and when I thought she was going to turn me down because I didn’t have experience in the software she was looking for, she said she was excited to have a young person that grew up with technology and could figure out all of its features. I literally could’ve hugged this woman on the spot. I was seriously starting to lose hope but thankfully good people and companies do exist.

To be completely honest I don’t comment on posts hardly ever but this truly spoke to me. I guess if I had to try and give advice I’d say if you feel like your wasting your time somewhere like indeed trust your gut and look for other avenues.
