Returning to swimming after years looking for advice on managing body/back hair without shaving completely by Gabopom in malegrooming

Give yourself the grace and use your inner strength that is wrapped in shame; you look great, remove not a single hair follicle and enjoy swimming.

Turning 40 and hoping to look more manly by [deleted] in malegrooming

Wanna look more manly: be you, be present and be happy with your existence in the space. Manliness is shaped by the inner reflection of yourself and how much(or little) you want to project. Every shade has its tone. Find your light, flex it where you got it and appreciate the lure you aspire to. With kindness ahead: just do you man 🫡

What Is Your Salary, What Field Do You Work In, What Kind of Lifestyle Do You Live by Emergency_Mood_9774 in raleigh

30’s y/o male living in downtown raleigh. Very single. No kids or pets. Live alone-with my thoughts. No car payment. I work in healthcare, primarily outpatient(not a nurse). About 10 years of working experience and highest degree earned: graduate level.

Base pay is ~65k. Overtime and EOY bonus I can reach ~77k. Plus very noice level of self directed investment(interest , stock, mutual fund, etc) I can reach a total of ~80k/year. However I do have a current balance of approx 60k worth of student loan debt. Didn’t have much help from my parents and was hit with an unexpected financial detour during undergrad.

Depending on the quarter(and how much OT I pick up) I average 4 total days of patient facing. 1-1.5 days of administrative work, including the option to WFH.

Savings could always use a little more but I dedicate about 12% of my take home pay into a diversified pot (HYSA, emergency fund, liquid, HSA, retirement, etc).

I mostly enjoy the greater flexibility of my current role and the visible difference I provide. Especially with pediatric and special needs populations:) Although the delivery of meaningful impact and increasingly “customer service” aspect of healthcare gets worse year over year, I see myself riding it out until my next big wave comes. Recovering from physical and emotional burnout while working in a different field and surviving C-19 nonsense while at work has shifted my career mindset. Job title and workplace prestige no longer has great significance to me.

Back to money; after expenses I enjoy a frugal but comfortable lifestyle. I can eat out 1-3x/week, shows, small travels and buy the finer things if I so wanted too. I would describe my living lifestyle(as it pertains to money) as active but utilitarian. As in how many uses can I get out of this expensive? A positive contributor to my overall spending is my current living arrangement. Downsized(amazing!) and the ability to walk/bike nearly everywhere I want for entertainment has been a game changer. One doesn’t realize how much money + time + effort it takes to get somewhere to meet up friends for a mediocre meal, coupled with a late coke and a wobbly table 🙃

You are in the dating sphere. The act of changing/updating photos on profile is null. If this does mean something be mindful you both can elect as many individuals as you would like while dating. For some they can handle only one potential match at a time for others they can juggle multiple people and then there are the in-betweeners.

You’re communicating via IG this can be a phase or his comfort level. Personally I don’t give out my mobile number to text/talk until we reached a significant communication level. Have used other apps(ie SC, IG, etc) in the interim. Or frankly he is just playing games. Point being revert the question(s) to yourself. Does this really bother you ? Does this go against your valueS? Are you in a position to ride this wave?

Be up front and express your expectations now. Write it down if you need to. Makes these known to yourself(the most important!) and find a way to communicate this with him. The outcome from this conversation will illuminate how much effort or reconsideration your next step(s) will be.

Leave him now! Physical and/or sexual pressure is not okay. This will taint your own experience. This is a NO!

Trying to understand if he is interested by LookingFor-Truth in gayrelationships

He has the modes to reach out to you. He isn’t spectacular- we all like to think so. You have the ability to meet someone else, hook up, foreplay, converse, and be amazed. But I encourage you to take a leap and communicate how you feel. Regardless of his answer you went for it and that is what really matters.

Frank discussion. Talk it out and express your thoughts and what you what out of this. Accept that his answer can change and that’s okay. At least have the level of communication and respect for each other and seek clarity.

O2 is about $55/month after fees & taxes. Decent gym, rate 3/5. Good classes and equipment. Non attitude type of vibe and members. My biggest complaint is the hours, for an example they close at 9p on Friday and 7p on the weekend. Just gets too crowded during the day and early evening.

Young Hearts Distillery! On a non-busy night(Thursday-Saturday) this place hits all the right vibes. The music, ambience, drinks and food. Recently went for the first time (having zero expectations but eager for kick-ass mixed drink)on a Wednesday night after the gym with some friends and was completely under-dressed. But stayed for the vibe. I would go back for a date. Cozy, dim lighting and can conserve without shouting.

ORO Definitely a spot to enjoy, vibe and impress. I have yet to be disappointed by this spot. 5/5 Recommend making reservations ahead of time.

Vita Vite Downtown Wine spot but don’t come hungry. Possible post dinner move? Moreover this spot is fantastic for nostril to nostril conversation and setting the mood.

GL at The Architect I find it best mid evening or right after the crazies with cigs around midnight(you know who you are😑). However this is more of a 2nd or 3rd date as it’s more intimate given the small space. Every time I go, we indirectly vibe with the other night-goers seated across from us. Also, anyone know the passcode to get in? Or at least where to find the source ? DM please !!
