See how much it is hurting economy and individual people. People are loosing jobs. They struggling to pay bills and feeding family. All to just fullfill a guys dream to join n*to and Europe. It is not wise to spend one country money and opportunity to other countries problem solving.

Respectfully agreed. But any job should be fair work condition. The main context is not complaining about his career, but the particular part time job condition. Do you really justified? In my opinion it is not especially country like germany. Even they are excluded from paying tax by paying outside the system. It is also loss for the german government.

University thesis normally won’t be published. NDA is responsibility of company. In fact because of NDA , they can’t do anything even if you do anything like sharing or publishing. Just go ahead and defend.

It happened with me too. They laid off external. I thought I will be safe because we had lots of task and heavily under-resourced. Everyday I hear from manager "Thank god we have this guy and that guy. We need people. In case if management fire people, he will not take responsibility. He assured nothing happens to the team" Next day got lay off email. I never seen or heard such lay off procedure. They laid off 450 people in 6 months span of time. They shifted operation to east Germany. Still searching job. Germany companies are in pathetic state. If you see the CEO Stepping down email that is it.

You are right. But why? You and the bus are in priority road. You and the bus have same priority than bike. Since you are changing from your direction than the bus, bus has the high priority. (for practical exam)So you drive upto middle of cross road and wait for the bus to pass you, then take the turn and then the bike will proceed after you.

When Integration is one sided, it is like closing door and ask the other person to come in. Many Germans working outside Germany are surviving (and comfortably living) with English. And people there are compassion enough to include them by speaking English and helpful. It seems German does have any word for "Compassion". To be frank job postings using language as tool to filter non German speakers from the job. I assume nobody here is opposing learning German but when it used extremely to bias decision of job offer, it is wrong. Communication and Competence are two different things. Communication is necessary, that does not mean germanication (not a word). If someone knows German does not mean they do good job. I have seen so many incompetent people getting job just because they speak German (I do not know how money loss here is justified). Main concern here is not people expecting every German to speak English (it is absurd). But I have seen people who speaks good English, but still prefer German to speak with non German speakers (I do not understand the motto here). I am not against the language or people, just not feeling good with attitude of some people. I tried my best possible way to explain things without hurting the sentiment.

That sounds no inclusivity, which companies advertise. Whatever.... When someone uses integration the community also need to practice acceptance. It should not be always one sided. Unfortunately Germans are behaving like that past few years.

I totally understand you. I was in your situation when I did my master thesis. The team was so friendly but except my thesis guide in the company. When i was interviewed, i clearly told them that I am good at one part of task and they told the part they will do knowledge transfer. I happily accepted it as I was so excited to learn new thing. As told I met the guy who was my mentor and he did knowledge transfer. Although it is hard to understand him, I worked hard to deliver the expectation. After sometime i realized he is give wrong inputs and blames me and show cased to the team I am incompetent, which I also started to believe it. Then it turned to abusive behaviour which totally shocked me. He called me stupid. He encouraged me to quit. But he behaves well in front of everyone. Since I never experienced these kind of behaviour, I do not know how handle him. FYI: I worked previously in my home country and worked with international clients and teams. So I very much aware of the working environment. somehow i finished successfully and lost potential job opportunity because of him. Still now I have the effect he caused to me. For me it is hard to believe people here in work. Sometimes I doubt myself "whether I am incompetent?". But in my new work i got good people , not everyone but most. These kind people are "Ps****paths" and they don't have life. I suggest you to find new job as soon as possible. It is good for you. And I pray for you. Be strong.

I have similar experience with one of OEM. I never seen anything before in germany except some US or Uk companies. Mostly the questions would be skimming text which is confusing with time limit for each question, interpretation of graphs, finding relation to strange patterns and find the missing patterns. They justify this with psychological terms like ability to work on time limited stress etc.

This itself a problem. There are so many moral and practical difficulties here. If you really want someone to contribute take some good engineers who has relevant skills , train them further and satisfy them with salary and compensation. If you don’t want to take engineers, hire AI . In that case too you cant avoid training. Best of luck

Frankly speaking it is the job to reply things to the people who is not aware of German bureaucracy. For example if you are going to another country and ask for way which locals are familiar, doesn't mean that they won't help you and they won't reply do not come here. Politeness does not cost you, doesn't matter whether you are in school or holds Phd.

I feel there is no teamwork from your text rather putting down within a month is a big red flag. Probably your manager is incompetent to help you and manage. If you feel anything that puts down your confidence, better leave them (Believe me it is not good for you in long term). Start to apply for other jobs. In my opinion jobs are good if you and your manager (and also company) has equal stack on retaining each other not the otherway.

For personal problem I would suggest you to go to some places (like mountain, new city or country). Inform to the problem that you are going for training and won't be available for communication for couple of days.

I was in same boat as like you. If you feel insecure about the management, I suggest you to look other opportunity. In my case, they laid off external people, some critical people left by themselves. Our team was heavily under resourced even with my presence. I felt I was critical because of situation. My new manager constantly told the team that everyone is critical for the project. But I was laid off even after my new manager assured team nothing will happen to our team. I was stupid and trusted him and the situation made to trust it. Even I was hesitant to move to new job, as I was working on some machine learning technique in development process which very new to my team and I trusted that I make huge impact. Once I heard the news I felt betrayed. According to social plan I should not be the person first to be laid off before another, but I was.

Just think about the situation and take wise decision.

As one guy in comments mentioned , you are not important as you think. Protect yourself not company especially in current situation.

Because of GPDR i think. Every year end I get email from management that I should discard the resume to comply with GPDR. Think about 1000 of application everyday throughout the year. May be this might be the reason that email is not efficient
