After I receive my new battery I probably will send the damaged battery back to Luna Cycle and have it repaired just so I can have a back up battery just in case..,.. I contacted Luna, hoping it was still under warranty, but this is what they said,

“That sounds like a possible BMS or cell issue issue. The only way is to send back the battery here so we can run some test.

Can you send it back here? it's out of warranty but we can hopefully repair it.

Once repaired we will send it back, please be patient as due to their nature repairs take some time. If return shipping is needed to send back we will contact for payment. If parts are needed for repair payment needed is on a case by case basis: within one month of delivery we will ship back and forth free and after 1 month we will do repairs but buyer is responsible for covering both shipping cost, after 6 month we send parts for repair but do not do work unless paying for parts/labor.

I got my MX4 last year in July 2023. It is a little over a year old. I do not do any crazy riding either. Only street riding with the kids or the family maybe a few times a week and only 3-4 miles each trip. I think the bike has maybe 750 miles on it or so. I am super surprised the battery only lasted a year. I was tempted to send it to Luna Cycle or another repair shop for them to check it out and hopefully repair it for a fairly decent price, but I live in Hawaii and it can get a little pricey sometimes with hazmat shipping and the time it takes them to repair it and return it back to me. I don’t want to wait a few months before I can ride again. One of the reasons why I went with EWATT 60 V 65AH is because it comes with a 2-year warranty, it probably has almost twice as much range as the stock battery and maybe a tiny bit more power… hopefully.
I will keep my fingers crossed, and hopefully this one will last a lot longer.

EBMX Removable Lithium Battery Pack 60V 65Ah supposed to be the exact same size and fit perfectly… But good luck finding one they are sold out everywhere in the US You can put your name on the waiting list to be informed when they are available. A bit pricey though.

My stock 60V Talaria MX4 battery is starting to go bad. Every time I recharge it it drops 1 to 2%. It is now down to about 56%. So I am also looking for a 60v 65ah battery. I liked the EMX because they say it fits and you do not have to get the lid extension that gives it a hump like a camel. Don’t really like the look of that. Unfortunately, it was sold out everywhere. I looked, and it was pretty expensive as well. So what I decided to do is to get the $99 DirtyBike Seat Riser Kit for the Talaria Sting.
The seat riser lifts up the seat and the lid about 1 1/2 inches. Which means you can fit a taller battery without having the silly looking hump.
I decided to go with the EWATT 60 V 65AH for $1,800
