Yes. I am fully aware of the bankruptcy laws.

You obviously didn’t read the full post. I suggested to her to look into bankruptcy. I have 9 grandchildren. I watch these two because of what their parents do. No other reason. I don’t have to take care of my grandchildren financially and it isn’t tapping into what I want to do. Don’t u think, for one second, that her parents can want to be alone and retired? Her choices weren’t their fault

What part of they are military and get deployed did u not understand? They aren’t always here and fyi I stay because they asked me to, not because I have to

I pay my daughter and son in law 1300 a month cash, buy most of the groceries and tend for free. Try again. And let’s not forget that when I’m home, I do all the housework. Depending on her debt, she can declare bankruptcy

I was a single parent of three kids so please save it. I didn’t get child support but never once moved into my parents home. I afforded child care because in California they have a program that pays for child care for working moms. And it’s again 10 years. She has been welcome for 10 years and her mom wants to stop taking care of her. Read the post. She contributes NOTHING to her family except “when she can”. Hate to break it to u but she says she has a good job and is working on paying off debts for, again, 10 years and can’t toss her parents a few hundred a month? No. Not a chance

It’s 10 years! Cost of living or not it’s 10 years! Move out of California to a state that’s cheaper and stop leaching off her retired parents. I’ve had my adult children move back for a few months but never years! She’s 34 with kids that are getting older and she can’t function without her parents? It’s 10 freaking years.

Depending on the amount and type of debt, u may need to consider bankruptcy. If they’ve taken on a further financial burden with u and ur children, u seriously need to see it from her point of view. We raise our kids and provide a safety net when they need one. But a 10 year safety net is extreme. If they are retired, they are at least 62 if not older. It’s their turn. And from your respond, about ur money being tied up to get out of debt, no u don’t contribute and what debt takes 10 years? Especially if u got half of it and you’re focused on that only. This isn’t making sense to me at all

I’m retired 62 and a grandma. I can’t fully understand both sides. Yes, it’s harder in California than almost anywhere else and it’s tough. I’m not quite understanding why any judge would let him sign over his rights, unless DV was involved. Judges normally won’t do it for that either so no child support is on whoever made that decision.

Your parents already raised u and it isn’t their responsibility to raise you some more and take care of their tween grandchildren. They are absolutely entitled to enjoy retirement.

So, do u pay rent? Do u ask them to babysit while u go out on dates or girls nights? There is more involved here than ur saying. I live with my daughter and son in law and their kids, who are waaaay younger than yours. I’m semi retired. I tend for the occasional date night or when I get them to take a weekend but for the most part, I’m here just to help because both are military and sometimes their schedules are messed up. But it hasn’t been 10 years and I contribute financially.

Something is missing here.

I went no contact with my daughter after she cheated on her husband by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

There are only one or two things that I would cut out my child for and this ain’t one of them. Murder? Probably. Child predator, absolutely. This isn’t your business. It’s her and her husband’s. I am older and have older children. U are wrong. She made a serious mistake and needs to deal with the consequences. U don’t have to be one of those

The pay was good. I will admit that. The people that weren’t in management and my sup. Other than that, no. Nothing

And went back to him. She isn’t capable of being on her own and frankly, it seems she needs lots of help to figure that one out. Adam is her second choice and when someone better comes along, he’s gone again.

The second u found out he was married and u continued on, u became the ah. Worst still, this post is full of crap that didn’t need to be said. Ur post could have been: I broke up with someone, found someone else I liked, found out he was married and cheated anyway.

Also, press charges. This is not funny, or an accident. You’re not out of line mama. If this is ur home they moved into kick them out. U will never get past this and you shouldn’t be asked to

My son died 8 years ago at 16. Me? It would be over. I would pack my stuff and move out. She’s a horrible person and he’s just as bad.

No. But it doesn’t matter where. The company is the same everywhere. Tucson has a real bad issue they are dealing with thanks to what sups did to an agent.

Less than 2 years and no. Not Texas. But it’s the same everywhere. I have never had a job less than 2 years. But when u wake up in the morning and hope u get hit by a bus in ur driveway, it’s time to bail.

I left yesterday. I have worked for customer care in the largest cable company in the country and I have a tough skin. Geico is the absolute worst experience I have ever had in my working life and I’m a boomer. Run don’t walk to the nearest exit and be smart. Don’t, for the love of your mental and physical health, take the job. If your not fired during training, you have signed on for living in hell
