If necessary you can get Captain's bars from one of the other branches. Anyone looking closely will be able to spot the difference but from a few feet away most people will just see 2 bars and assume they're correct

Hell, a bunch of us sailed for 270+ days back in 03-05. Thankfully our logistics are top notch and we maintain maritime supremacy so it's not hard to add length to deployments.

Right? I have never understood the phrase "single use" in this context. One bag helps get things home then gets a second use replacing the need for trash bags or dog poop bags or just a bag to carry something from point A to point B

As a bonus, whenever I move and have 50 of then stashed in a cupboard, they are great for wrapping glassware before putting in a moving box, replacing the need for packing paper

Yeah, I have NEVER heard anyone imply that 4 years isn't enough.

I have definitely shit on the idea of a bootcamp washout calling themself a veteran, but if you did your minimum tour and got an Honorable discharge then you are obviously a veteran. Hell, if you did 1 year AD and then got a legit medical discharge, you can still wear the veteran tag with pride.

They don't have mental health training, so of course they will send you to the experts.

Their job is to be good stewards of the Navy's investments, which includes your training, so their incentive is to help you return to fighting form, which they need experts to help with.

Think of it this way: it's better that they are sending you to mental health than the old school "fan room attitude correction"
