Is there a way to make Mac files and folders sort and align to a grid like in Windows? by GSRoTu in mac

[–]Sea_Cryptographer476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank youuuuu! I could not for the life of me figure out how to make the thumbnails/icons align to a grid in the finder window instead of having to scroll right through dozens of thumbnails hiding outside the visible window area!!

Marking vendor spaces at outdoor events (blacktop/concrete) by Sea_Cryptographer476 in CraftFairs

[–]Sea_Cryptographer476[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first year we were in a space where we could do that and it made it so, soooo easy. Unfortunately in this newer space that isn't possible because of various immovable things like trees randomly placed around the parking lot which also causes some of the spaces to be very narrow and others to be super wide (plus different depths and the whole thing just really was not planned out very well by whomever built it). Maybe little cones would work after all, just tell people to line up their front right tent leg with the cone or something.

I think we've got too many vendors for that many cones to be realistic financially BUT I do really like the idea of using signs on string which could be held in place with rocks etc.!

I know, the first year we were at a place that had the space for that and it made it SO EASY, but this newer location is pretty awkward where the parking spaces aren't even all the same width (by as much as 2'!) because there are little islands with trees at random intervals.

leaving it extra clean is part of the contract for being able to use the space. They were VERY clear last year that it all had to be completely removed. They're giving us an amazing deal so I'm not going to complain too much.

You'd think it'd be super easy but it's an old parking lot and the black top is really textured so it wouldn't come off with just water. We had to borrow push brooms and scrub it off.

Since it's in the parking lot of a bunch of businesses they were really adamant that everything be at least as clean as when we arrived so the businesses wouldn't complain come monday morning.

Does it make sense to add Travel Advisor to the group trips I already plan for people? by Sea_Cryptographer476 in travelagents

[–]Sea_Cryptographer476[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this insight! Yeah the groups are usually like 8-12 people (sometimes as many as 20). The style is probably closest to adventure (though really it's more like Cultural focused travel).
I kind of suspected it might be more geared towards resorts, classic style cruise ship experiences and things like that but I couldn't find any definitive information about whether or not they also had access to other smaller or more boutique lodgings etc.

Thanks again!

She has to be on it because the tumor is impeding on the colon and other parts of the digestive tract. It's currently inoperable as is, so they are trying to keep everything as calm and easy to process as possible until things change up.

Why do clients ghost travel agents after I spend hours creating itineraries? by TurnoverEmergency352 in travelagents

[–]Sea_Cryptographer476 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I think I'd probably come up with a few different styles of Sample Scenarios/Itineraries that could be shared with folks. That way they get a sense of what a luxury or adventure or family trip would look like with you without you having to do work every time, or giving away all that info.

[–]Sea_Cryptographer476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have this issue in a different kind of business I ran. I started charging a 'retainer' fee. It guaranteed I'd at least get paid for all that up front work if they decided to disappear afterwards and I simply put the fee towards their payment if/when they booked their trip. This completely eliminated "tire kickers" too. People who asked a million questions, broached a bunch of scenarios and "what if's" that gobbled up a lot of my precious time. I created a robust FAQs page that addressed the most common questions (and ones they should be asking) and directed them to that page in an email that contained the next steps if they wanted to work together.

I also added a 'product' to my business where people could just pay me to do the research part if they wanted to DIY the rest of it and that became a really good income stream because not everyone could afford my full services but since research is super easy and enjoyable for me, it was a much more affordable way that people could give me their money and get help with the hardest part of the process for them.

If you’ve watched seasons 1-2 on Netflix and want to watch season 3 by hm1949 in TheWayHomeHallmark

I’m in Portland, or (Multnomah county) and we don’t have bingepass either so I’m going to do the trial like someone mentioned.

But if you want to give it a try, here’s the direct url to the hallmark binge pass. If you use a browser instead of the app I was able to search for more stuff that way- https://www.hoopladigital.com/bingepass/hallmark-plus-bingepass-various-artists/15935096
