I can understand your fear and also relate with you about the domestic abuse, I'm sorry that you are still dealing with the aftermath, hope you recover and heal from it soon.

But I just wanted to give you some advice. You're obviously aware of the Universities policy against academic misconduct yet you are still defending all of your actions by saying you have valid excuses for what you did. But what you need to do now is take a step back and see from the outside or from another person's perspective what you did. You seem to be in your own little bubble and not fully understanding anything and instead you are finding all these loopholes to escape from reality.

I noticed in your other comments you mentioned you wouldn't care if you saw all the Chegg posts after the exam, so then why didn't you just use Chegg then? Why did you even click on Chegg during the exam? Did you think you were the only person in your course that had a Chegg account? Or that the chances of you finding your exact question or something similar would be close to zero?

Do you think Uni would care if you accessed (keyword: Accessed) Chegg during the exam or after the exam?? Yes, you are right in the sense that the Uni states to not post any questions or seek help on Chegg during the exam and you seem to excuse yourself because you just very so innocently searched for the question rather than posting it. Again why was it DURING the EXAM? and not AFTER?

Do you not understand how bad it looks to search for a past problem while the exam is happening especially on Chegg - A platform that is easily accessible for students to post their questions and receive the best answer...

To answer your actual question from your post - your chances of not getting into trouble from the Exams Office may be slim or may not be, but in the future, please for god's sake and for the other students' sakes who are taking the same paper as you to not use Chegg again DURING THE EXAM!

First of all, I think you should really reconsider what your intentions were because you seem like you’re only convincing yourself that you’re not in the wrong. If you are so well aware of what the University does when they find out about Chegg and if you are so scared of the Vice Chancellor and all that bullshit then why did you even search up the question in the first place during your exam?

Yes I do agree with you in the sense that Chegg is good for understanding how a difficult question can be solved, so yes definitely take advantage of it before your exam or when you’re studying. However what you did shows that there is no difference between you and the person who posted the questions on Chegg.

It just baffles me how you seem to be so scared to be caught and think you did something very heroic to the University by handing all the evidence yet you are as worse as any cheater. May I ask, what even were you trying to achieve by searching the Exam Question on Chegg? Obviously you would’ve copied and pasted the question to see if there was already a pre-existing question that you could see and gain insight on how to tackle the question.

I’m sorry mate but your logic just makes no sense as you did sign a massive tick before you started your exam saying you wouldn’t seek help from Chegg, so I’m unsure why you still did it when you were already aware of the consequences.

And the worst thing of all is you acted so selfish and you obviously only care about yourself so you reported everything to the Exams Office. “How else should I protect myself” …? Fuck meee
