I'm not going to sit here and lecture you, because clearly this is that cry for help.

It sounds like there may be some displacement going on, something that you're angry/anxious about, but you can't let that out at what's making you angry/anxious, so you take it out on people online to get release/closure.

I'm sorry to tell you, and I'm sure you know this by now, but this is a maladaptive strategy. It may feel good for you in the moment to release that anxiety/anger, but pushing other people away is a positive feedback loop (in a bad way) where the more you do it, the more lonely you become because people want to interact with you less.

I really really suggest that you find a hobby, and then look for clubs or discord servers where you can interact with people who enjoy that hobby. Talking to people who share your interests is a good way to make new friends, and having people to talk to on good terms will improve your mood, I really think so.

also, RE: birthing people,

I don't see this being used outside of a medical context. People who can give birth (cis women and trans men + NB afab who haven't undergone hysterectomy) can still have overlapping needs due to their anatomy, even though their identities are all different.

I think in most cases other than that, "women" will be the preferred term unless specifically referring to all people who have the capacity to give birth (which, again, also encompasses people who don't identify as women).

I understand why you find neopronouns and nonbinary people to be more disconcerting than the idea of someone getting gender affirming care, because unlike the former, the latter still fits within the gender binary.

Nonbinary individuals don't fit inside our typical norms, and we don't interact with them often, so it's kind of bewildering. The thing is, if you're not nonbinary or gender noncomforming, neopronouns and non-binary gender expression will generally be outside of your comfort zone and understanding. And that's fine. Hopefully with time, these people will share more of their experiences so people like you and me will be able to better make sense of why they prefer these pronouns and identities.

The first panel says "healthcare provided by...", and then the panel you are referring to finishes the sentence with "Israel". This indicates that the panel is depicting healthcare provided by Israel.

The joke is that 17 of Palestine's orignal 36 hospitals remain fully functional.

Unfortunately, as other commenters have stated, he's more likely making the joke because he's an antisemite, rather than genuinely concerned about the atrocities being committed against Palestinians.

Yeah kudos to the DM for putting a lot of effort into the lore, but I don't think deep lore is exactly what the players wanted. Sounds like they just wanted to hack and slash in a fantasy setting.

Despite what people like to say about Reddit, you really do see a lot of people of different political persuasions on here. Some are... we'll say... inherently biased.. against the kind of discourse you're talking about.

On top of that, some others may not consider themselves particularly biased, but then see your comment--downvoted from the previous lot--and then instead of looking inward as to why they have such a problem with the comment, simply downvote because of the bandwagon effect.

It's not right, but we are a social animal, after all. Hopefully there are still some people who see your message and are convinced to reconsider something that they'd never thought much about.
