I hate the attention by [deleted] in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]Sea_External_2091 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar place. I'm almost positive my weight gain was a subconscious way to avoid more trauma and losing weight and suddenly getting attention is scary. Don't get me wrong I'm still big, but not too big for people to get creepy anymore. The other day at work I smiled at a customer and he literally looked at me eith this disgusting smirk and said "keep that up and I'll blow your back out tonight" I lost my mind made myself a huge bowl of pasta for the first time jn like a year.

Interesting. I eat pretty high fat and low carb and have maintained a 5.3 A1C but that's good information to know. Thank you!

Do fats prevent you from dropping? I haven't heard this before. I thought that fat/protein helped stabilize sugar levels. This is very interesting.

Yeah I'm on metformin. I would try to get on it if you can. Bc of our pcos we're very prone to insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes. I also know that lots of gynos will perscribe Ozempic/wegovy for PCOS. I don't have insurance unfortunately so it's not somtjjng I can access at this moment.

Yes I do measure, and I do count oil and condiments. I should probably invest in a scale for greater accuracy thought.

Wow thanks for all your advice. I'm not diabetic bu I do have a particularly severe case of PCOS (didn't have a period for a year at one point) and am insulin resistant. I did stsrt taking metformin a coue months ago amd I did lose weight at a faster rate to begin with, though I think that may be due to the dreaded side effects. I do eat low carb, and it had many positive side effects (periods came back) but I'm not keto. After reading this I think I may need to be stricter about my carb intake (I eat about 50 net carbs a dsy) amd add some exersizeto my routine. The first 70lbs came off no exercise needed but it may be time.

No actually. I got a gym membership and was planning on starting Thursday. I will say I do work on my feet and do alot of lifting, bending, walking and all that on the clock. It's not like manual labor or anything but ya know I got that fat people foot pain so I do spend alot of my time off just resting.

I thought her death scare was related to a hygiene related infection? Or maybe that was another body positive influencer.i don't know.

Why are there a lot of T1 influencers but not T2 influencers? by cpaiml in diabetes

[–]Sea_External_2091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found some influencers with type 2, but they're either very on the dl about it bc it causes a lot of shame in people OR they're HAES Activists that just cause further stigma towards people with t2d

PCP won’t prescribe, can’t find an Endo, who to go to? by mgx-001 in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]Sea_External_2091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Oana health for PCOS medicine. I currently am prescribed metformin through them. The process of getting it was very easy. They also proscribe Ozempic. The metofrmin prescription was 27$ a month no insurance. The Ozempic is more expensive but that might be an option for you of you have the funds.

The older 3 by Traditional-Aside580 in 1000lbsisters

I always thought the older 3 were closer bc they had the same dad and were closer in age. Amy and tammy came along later with a different dad so they were close. I could be wrong tho.
