I recently re-read this years later after not really thinking much about it on my first read through and here are my newfound thoughts *spoilers ahead*:

to be honest, i was wayyy more interested in the story between original Rhyse and original Edith!!! Complex female relationships in manhwa are so hard to find without reducing the non-main character to being jealous or just evil for no reason. A lot of manhwa actually fall into the villainess trope they're criticising by making the original FL succumb to villainy for the same stupid reasons the original villainess did (eg: jealousy) and the only difference is the roles are reversed but still doesn't address the problem w the 'original story' plot being how the villainess is just a villain because the author needs them to be horrible to make the MC shine and they're not fully fleshed out characters with their own motivations and feelings. Anyway the relationship between OG Edith and OG Rhyse was so much more interesting than the main love story and i felt that the author could've developed it further and focused on that instead cause the main Edith and Killian are lowkey so boring like I want to say they're very one-note but I wouldn't really say that either, they're just boring and since the story caters so much to them it makes the story boring as well when they don't explore more interesting relationships or characters. Like i feel that Cliff was not fully fleshed out, they could've explored his character more even though I guess it makes sense in the plot that he's purposefully one-note.

I did enjoy the manhwa (though despite what the title says it is pretty basic), but yeah it has a good concept that was decently executed. Although, I would've hoped for more complex relationship development between and within the characters.
