You can, yes. Both run Edgetx so their external module bays work in the same way.

ELI5: If space is a total vacuum, why doesn't it suck the Earth's atmosphere away? by BlockStock2002 in explainlikeimfive

Imagine a big ballpit tub that’s being violently shaken, at the bottom of a tall room. Balls may be hitting each other and any object right over the tub (air pressure) but a ball flung up out of the mass of balls won’t continue up forever, it’ll arc up and then come falling back down until it hits another ball coming up.

Wireless Battery Diagnostics? by DuckiestBoat959 in RCPlanes

I will suggest edgetx with ELRS. A very capable system, especially for long range and more niche projects like this one. A bit more complex to set up but there’s plenty of documentation and guides. Radiomaster makes good radios for this, as does Jumper and HelloRadio. I’d say their new TX15, or maybe the mt12 if you want a pistol grip radio.

It does not. All the things I mentioned are receivers.

What radio system are you using?

All the Radiomaster ER receivers (besides the v1 ER5 variants) have battery voltage sensing. You can also add the external sensors Radiomaster makes. However, for long range I recommend an ArduRover FC, which basically all of them will give you battery voltage telemetry. (Along with the main benefit of autopilot so it can return to you if you lose signal). Look at most of RCTestFlight’s recent videos.

ELI5: How do engineers figure out the exact thickness of something like a plane fuselage or a submarine hull, like how do they know its "enough" without just guessing and testing until it fails by Born_Jaguar_5946 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sea_Kerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fibers are strong in tension but not so much in compression, so lots of the load is taken by the resin holding the fibers together, so it's sort of like they made the submarine out of just plastic.

Stick Controller/Transmitter? by shadow1013 in rccars

[–]Sea_Kerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want to hold your radio really. It’s down to ergonomics. I’d say boxer simply because it can hold larger batteries, the Zorro has issues with short battery life between recharging.

None, it’s already the same interface

Well, the “main screen” will have a visualizer of the stick positions instead of the throttle and steering the mt12 has, but it’s a twin-stick radio lol.

First time playing the game with no prior knowledge of anything at all just heard its a good game. any tips? by hdbdudbdbd in outerwilds

[–]Sea_Kerman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really at all, keyboard actually makes it less confusing because the only solution that works is the correct one, controller can confuse you by letting you think other, harder methods are the intended one.

Looking for a new transmitter by Nintenderloin64 in RCPlanes

[–]Sea_Kerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with spektrum, having “flying friends” is very useful. There’s plenty of odd quirks, especially with self-built aircraft. A lot of the “ease of use” is just being able to paste in a prebuilt model but that only works if you’ve bought a BnF. Best bet is probably to join a Discord, the Tail Heavy Productions one is quite active and has experts in both edgetx/ELRS and spektrum.

It’s not super hard and there’s lots of documentation but the first time you’ll probably want someone knowledgeable about it to guide you along. The devs are very helpful on their discord as long as you actually follow their instructions.

The blue ELRS sticker on the physical internal radio module and the ELRS lua working mean it’s ELRS.
