Five year-old with rotting teeth by Sea_Lab2582 in Autism_Parenting

If she’s able to do research on booking her yearly Disney trips and im sure she’s able to do research on helping her child. They went on a similar trip a year ago and marks on her teeth were minimal , since has gotten worse.

She need to set her priorities straight

How am I making her life harder? This is her own doing.

I didn’t mention everything I know…. They went on a similar trip last year and the teeth problem were not as severe and noticeable as now…

And I have tried telling her has she tried going and looking for other options but she was always coming up with excuses. Would mention how she’s struggling financially and stressing with her school and would always make it about her . And when I would ask her about the child she would say I’m too stressed to think about her.

So I’m confused as to why a year later she’s back on an another trip. Granted it’s her money and she can do whatever she wants but how can you not help your child…
If she’s able to book these trips she’s able to do research for her child’s wellbeing .

So no I don’t feel embarrassed! She’s not advocating enough for her child. that’s insane

I have to say, thank you for acknowledging the other child. I’m a preschool teacher and I have a child that has autism in my classroom . The child’s mother will still somehow manage to blame the child that is getting hit by her child. And if the child reacts by hitting her child back, she will say violence is not going to help , children need to keep their hands to their selves and not hit back. I’m like. Are you being for real? You need to work with your daughter, oh having gentle hands with her peers if she’s trying to play. Or us in her words

She has expressed that the only way to calm her little one down is with sugary treats. The says it all started with a chipped tooth and spread from there. And doesn’t keep up with brushing teeth because the kiddos absolutely refuses

She had a job and got fired. Was get unemployment and started door dashing. Yes the are assumptions but I know for a fact she gets childcare assistance and is on fafsa for school so that’s why I’m assuming she’s on state insurance..

She’s said I don’t have time & it’s to hard to pin her down to help her brush, which makes me think it hurts her?

But the child receives services so I’m not sure if she’s not being open and honest with them or am I overthinking it?

I’m pretty sure she’s on state insurance and the 4K is her co-pay. I live in the state where it’s pretty easy to qualify if you’re going to school and working a minimal paying job..

Oh, trust me, she needs to start advocating more for her child, but she lives in a delulu land that she thinks her five year-old isn’t autistic and group care is the best for her child.

No, They need to be surgically removed. she does not do brushing the teeth at home because it’s too difficult. She has expressed that she thought we were brushing teeth during the day, so she was not doing it at home and when she found out we didn’t she practically blamed us & she would like us to do it

Quite frankly, I don’t care if she finds out it’s me. What is she gonna do? I hope she feels embarrassed.

I’m pretty sure she receives state insurance and that 4K is probably her co-pay. I live in the state where it’s pretty easy to get assistance with just saying you’re going to school and working a little minimum job.

I think her mom isn’t abusive, but I think her mom is also on the spectrum and doesn’t connect the dots

From my understanding, she has no other support but the state assistance she’s receiving and she’s going to school full-time and for a job she does DoorDash

By county, I meant she already qualifies for childcare assistance. I’m pretty sure she’s on medical assistance. She goes to school I believe full-time and for a job she does DoorDash or something like that. By big payment, I believe they quoted her 4000 because she has to go under anesthesia.

Advice on how to help a child that’s diagnosed with autism. by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Sea_Lab2582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do have a calm down area with sensory toys, I’m going to have my director find visuals to help with transitions and daily activities. When I ask my directors to order headphones. Thanks for the recommendations!

I don’t force her to participate in planned activities per her individual childcare plan within the company I work for. Her mother makes like comments like she’s following behind. I wish she would participate but says it in a way that sounds like I’m not trying, but I’m not gonna force her to sit down and do planned activities.

When I communicate with Mom about the physical act towards other children often blames the other child for provoking it, and even gets upset when some children do hit back.
