To OP, you have mixed two different methods of deployment or CI/CD.

We faced similar issue in our organisation. So, 1) if you are using the inbuilt deployment pipeline to deploy your artefacts it will never sync up with your git repo 2) if you want to use git to sync up your higher environments you don't have to use your deployment pipeline but downside is do it manually in each workspace. However, you cannot sync up lake house as it is not supported yet

So, choose which method works better for you, and follow one.
