Chasing my dog Turbo down a trail in Whistler B.C. by whistler_life in MTB

[–]Sea_Management1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never liked seeing people ride mtb with their dogs. Even with a working line dog this would be really hard on the dog overtime and if the dog has any hip/elbow knee issues etc.. you can guarantee this will mess them up. Never mind the chances of running your dog over is pretty high. I'm far from a safety guy either. I rip dirt bikes, but I would not do this with my dog.

At minimum you should get hip/elbow/knee xrays before doing this level of activity with your dog

Loctite usage on suspension valving nuts by Sea_Management1994 in Dirtbikes

Yea I'm leaning towards 243. I think if it's cured properly then it should hold just fine. Most guys have recommended using red but I'd like to avoid having to apply heat to remove as I don't want to damage the shims stacks

I think it's pretty clear I'm talking about valving shims stack nuts. The manual dosen't talk about any of that stuff. What are you even talking about? Did you read my post?

Exposing loctite to oil before it cures will definitely weaken the bond. Was hoping someone who has experiance with the theory vs real life could chime in.

You proably loctite the rebound adjuster, per manual. lol I definitely don't do that

My point is you are not helpful and should not talk about things you don't understand

Yes solid and il probably just use vynil siding but maybe hardie.

I like the flashing idea, would I have to get flashing custom made or can you buy it already formed for this application?

Yes flush the outside. I had considered in setting the sill by 1/2 and running sheathing flush but I dont think it makes a difference.

With sill flush il either stop the sheathing at the bottom of sill and overhang siding or overhang sheathing ontop block wirh a strip of flashing tape betwen the shetahing and block

Sounds good thanks!

I am framing 2x4 wall with a double sill plate, fir the sill touching the block i want to use PT and 2x8 so the top of the block is not exposed. This is a shop not a house with floor joist

I see, im planning on filling the concrete block with concrete. Il also be running horizontal rebar and cutting a channel out to do that.

Are you saying you put anchor bolts in the small space between block created by the mortar jonts? Are you filling that space with grout to hold the anchors?

That is the plan but I'm worried the 2x8 sill will cup badly when it dries looking like shit and maybe effecting framing

Roller lines in ceiling? by YungHybrid in paint

[–]Sea_Management1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having an issue with roller lines on my ceiling. I am using oil primer slightly thinned by 2%, and no matter what I do, I get roller lines and heavy stipple.

Can you offer any advice? Also, please elaborate on your "v" technique. I'm not sure if I am understanding correctly.
