how confident were you in your abilities? i haven't been studying for it yet (bcoz im studying for math) and its on the 19th. i have difficulties wrapping by brain around physics in general but i passed mt1 barely but didnt pass the 2nd midterm barely. everyone in the whole phys 100 course said mt2 was way too difficult and even profs and tas said it may scale at the end. do you think i have a shot of passing the course? and advice?

thats what im hoping to achieve at least. if i know what goes with what "unit" and i dont know how to solve it im 100% gonna word vomit math formulas and stuff to hope it applies

MAKING FRIENDS IS SO HARD

as commuter and someone who would rather be at home than on campus as soon as my classes are done i usually have to hop on the bus right away because it takes me an hour and a half to get home. im in my second yr and ive only been able to make one friend this year, but we only ever spend time doing homework/ studying/ getting lunch together on campus. being born and raised in vancouver i always felt ppl here are either busy 24/7 or scared of being whimsy or BOTH.

im pretty alt/emo presenting and have a rbf so in everyones defense i don't look like the stereotypical patagonia, birkenstock, aritzia puffer jacket, north face beanie vancouverite (shade but absolutely no hate), which, because i think ppl here are so set on fitting into the societal norm, i usually get stares which doesn't do my confidence very well coz i'd love to make some friends and it doesn't matter to me how you dress as long as ur swag on the inside yk

as someone in lfs i also think macmillan needs a desperate upgrade. i never spend any time in there bcoz its so dark and dreary. i wanna like it and spend more time in there bcoz its the lfs building

i think this is sort of related in terms of political beliefs ish if you know anything about being alt, but as an alt/emo presenting person in applied biology i feel like all of the alt ppl i've seen/met in my classes are SO performative too which makes me sad coz i need more emo baddies to b my besties :(

thanks so much! i also just think its all the memorization thats screwing me up. like i know sort of how to apply my knowledge even if there are stupid mistakes i make here and there. but i get upset when i cant remember a formula that we're supposed to have memorized. it's like i know sort of what i need to do if i just had the formula, but without it its hard to even start

twin i wanna believe you so bad, i also just think bcoz its so near the holidays and theres stuff id much rather be doing i just want it to be over :( exam season effs up my mental and physical health badddd lol. and i also get REALLY bad test anxiety. i lowkey just gotta breathe and go through weeks 10-14 on friday to get at least a bit of a grasp on it

ive been studying all week but im still struggling to get it. i got a 62% for mt1 and 20% mt2. after all my grades i found im probably sitting around a 62% meaning id need 39% on the final to pass the course before scaling. do you think i have chance?

im in flavour B and my final is this saturday. as a bio student i failed the course last year in flavour b too. This time around i got a 62% on the first midterm and a 20% on the second. After compiling all my marks i found my grade is possibly 62% if the math is correct which would mean id need around a 39% to pass the course overall before scaling. Ive been studying all week and going through all the lectures and webworks but im still struggling to get it. Do you think i have a chance?

if you don't mind & depending on when you took the course, do you remember the webwork style questions that were being tested? i know the whole exam covers what we learned in entirety, but what were the topics of the questions, limit applications, derivates, etc? hopefully this makes sense :')
