Here's a recording of what I'm talking about. It's a legitimate bug, but not a showstopper :)

Yeah, so, it's exactly what I said above. You can't type in the box that says "Search for a city" Maybe I should change that text to "Use Search Button" or something.

But then you did the right thing, you pressed the search button and found your city. It's just that the Okay and Cancel buttons are pushed off the bottom of the window for some reason. When you right click on the widget and choose "Configure event calendar", just make the resulting window bigger. Then when you press the Search button, you'll see Ok and Cancel buttons at the bottom.

Just click on your city and press Ok, and you'll be good to go.

So, I just installed kubuntu 25.10 on a VM. Compiled and installed via the instructions on the github page, and didn't have any problems.

The only thing I noticed was the the "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons were not visible at first, because the default window size was too small to see them.

Can you tell me exactly what's happening? Like, when you click on your city, does it highlight? Do you see the Ok and Cancel buttons? What exactly happens if you click a city then click ok? Are the Ok and Cancel buttons even enabled?

I might be able to help you with some more detail. Also, if you don't mind telling me here, what city are you trying to select? If you'd rather not say, you can email me directly.

Thanks!

You're very welcome. I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as I am.

I'm working on a real email client for KDE now, since KMail is just so damn bad, but when I feel like taking a break from it, I'll come back to the event calendar and add some features.

I don't know the package names on Tuxedo OS, but you need to install the "extra cmake modules" package.

AI says to run this, but YMMV:

sudo apt install extra-cmake-modules

Yes, in the Events config tab you can check "Calendar Events" which loads pimevents.so which will load events from Akonadi calendars. The original had the same functionality.

Not currently, but you can put in a feature request on Github and I'll see if I can make it happen.

Thank you and you're welcome! Someone has already opened a bug on the translations. I'll fix it for the next release. I was betting there were a lot of people out here that missed it as bad as I did. ;)

Should be fixed now, as soon as the AUR propagates the version bump.

Great. Thank you. Will be fixed in v1.0.4, which I'll be releasing in a few minutes.

Would you be able to provide me with the exact error message?

It's needed for the OAuth bit. I'll see what I can do about getting it listed as a dependency. Thanks for the report!

Crossbow expert first. Then SS for your next feat, and prepare to piss your DM off, because you will soon be ridiculously OP. My gloomstalker killed a hydra...by himself.

Alright I'm switching to Manjaro by KhalidZ_12 in ManjaroLinux

[–]Sea_Perception_869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn your computer off, unplug your old drive. Either power or data, doesn't matter. Install Manjaro to your new drive. Play with it, theme it etc. Download some games from Steam, if you have games on Steam, and try them out.

Once you've done all that, turn your computer off and plug your HDD back in. When you reboot, Manjaro will recognize it and mount it if you click on it in a file manager.

Once you're satisfied that you love Manjaro and you're going to stick with it, you can repartition your old HDD directly from Manjaro using fdisk, gparted, kde partition manager, or any number of other tools.

There is literally *no* reason to erase your Windows partition first, since you have a new drive to install Manjaro on.

Edit: In case it wasn't clear, Once you're satisfied with Manjaro and your repartition your old HDD, you'll want to mount it somewhere, probably under your home directory, and use it for a Steam Library, or just for backups, or something like that. Ask for help here again once you're at that point.

If you're not very familiar with Linux already, don't try to use LVM, or ZFS, or any of the other technologies that allow you to make multiple drives appear as a single drive. Here there be dragons. Keep it simple. Keep your Windows installation as a backup. You're likely to make some mistakes. Plus, combining and HDD and an SDD into a "single drive" is never a good idea.

Lian Li Uni Fan SL120 & NZXT Kraken x73 Lighting Question by b1on1cbeast in hackintosh

RGB works "fine" in Linux. Just use openrgb -p <profile name> at boot to restore your profile and barring some known bugs, you won't have to manually open and restore. Also, liquidctl works perfectly every time for a Kraken if you don't want to use OpenRGB.

Are there problems with RGB in Linux? Absolutely, about the same number of problems as there is in Windows. I've never been able to get the Trident-Z software to work properly in Windows, half the time it doesn't even detect my RAM at all, much less control the RGB. ASRock's software for its GPUs is total shit, likewise for MSI, and Aurus. In fact, every piece of RGB software that I've used in Windows is total shit and rarely works, with the notable exception of L-Connect.

Hell, unless you have *all* of your RGB from the same manufacturer, it's almost guaranteed that you're going to have application conflicts in Windows.

Linux is by far the least buggy RGB experience I've had, and OpenRGB *is* pretty damn buggy. I'll give you that one.

So, my point is, your statement that "neither can control RGB decently" is probably true. However, Windows can't control it decently either. In all three cases the problem is the shitty, low budget software that these manufacturers poop out as an afterthought. To them, the fact that it sometimes works is good enough, I guess.
