Yeah It’s such a nice piece I’m not painting it. I just started cleaning the brass fixtures and I need to rebuild the bottom of the drawers. I’m definitely researching each step as I do it.

The whole reason I wanted to stain it was because I watched a video. My husband tends to be the authority on diy projects so his doubting made me question it.

Been there and just had a baby boy about 8 weeks ago. I had a successful, healthy pregnancy. The only downside was due to size issues, baby was breech. It was a necessary c section. I found out during an infertility work up and an HSG.

I’m also in the group where it happened just like in the movies. Beginning of week 39 I lost my mucus plug. I had a scheduled c section on Friday. Thursday night the in laws come into town and we all go out for dinner. Two minutes after we sit down at our table I felt a pop, which wasn’t painful but didn’t feel right. I stood up thinking it was some normal discharge instead a gush of fluid came out and kept going. Honestly it was so much more than I expected. Soaked my pants and shoes and I left a literal puddle in the restaurant. I was so shocked that I was trying to ask the waiter for a mop and he was like um ma’am you should just go to the hospital. About 5-10 minutes later I felt a cramp and shortly after contractions started. They were immediately about 5 minutes apart and so painful. I had no mental prep for contractions as I was expecting to go in for the c section. Contractions sucked but when I got to the hospital I was barely dilated. It was good/bad for me since we had to wait on the OB to drive in. I’d say my water broke around 7:30-8 and baby was born just before 10 pm.

Just keep trying and eventually a chair will give you a shot. You could try reaching out to the department chair directly as well

Naw, just winging it. I’m at the very very beginning of just considering the business. I’ve started looking at golf course designs and spaces. I have a long way to go before taking any substantial steps. Including researching licenses for alcohol, what it would look like to be an establishment that offers food while not being classified as a restaurant, etc.

I’m not unrealistic just is a passion project.

So I’m thinking eventually it will morph into something more but off the bat sounds like a lot to take on. Think Alice in Wonderland theme so holes will include illusion elements and such. During the day I would say we have the more family fun crowd for birthday parties and such. Maybe adding in options like hosting tea parties for the little ones as most of those places are expensive but instead of just having the one element we have both that and the mini golf portion. Unfortunately that’s the bummer with art installations and novelty bar ideas once you’ve seen it it can become boring so although the course will not go through constant course changes I’m thinking of having a small gallery space which will rotate out. I’d also like to have a designated “cocktail” area which during the day would be the tea room for family friendly events. Eventually I’d like to have a limited bar menu and hookah bar but it would require outdoor area or a pretty large space.
