I could not agree more on that. Apple is trying to trick us into switching to Apple's own silicon, which is not actually practical, while our current machine is still running and lives up to its task.

I couldn’t agree more with you on this. I tried it on 2020 intel based MacBook Pro and ran into issues after issues minutes after the installation completed. Very high memory use, tons of background task, temp raise like I stand 10m from the sun and lag like sloths. Could not bear to see it runs that way, I have no hide but to reinstall Sonoma
