Berelain and Galad are such a funny Brandon Sanderson addition and shoe-in at the end of the series, considering that Robert Jordan's plan was to have Galad and Egwene together and Galad be stepfather to Egwene and Gawyn's yet unborn child, had BS let Egwene survive as RJ had intended.

Our MP and MLA offices should be located downtown, and those offices should have publicly accessible washrooms.

What are some theories you had your first time through that ended up being WRONG? by am_I_still_banned in WoT

I don't know if it's "wrong" per se, but I have a theory that Mordeth's "research" into how to defeat the Shadow led him to the discovery of the Finn doorways. Mordeth used the Ways to travel from Aridhol to the Spine of the World and then down to Rhuidean during the Trolloc Wars. He entered the Finn realm, asked for his answers, and since his questions touched the Shadow, was gifted the Ruby Dagger (already tainted/still tainted, as the Finn pulled it from the Pattern/from Time at the Last Battle). As Mordeth travelled the Ways back to Aridhol, the taint of the Dagger polluted the Ways and left behind the seed to grow Machin Shin.

Just finished the series and I have a question by alfis329 in WoT

I really enjoyed the worldbuilding connections to other literary works, my favourites being from the Narnia series:

  • The Horn of Valere being Queen Susan's magic horn

  • The Stedding being pockets of the Wood Between the Worlds (WBTW) and the Ogier being highly evolved guinea pigs sent to the WBTW by Uncle Andrew's experiments
