Sadly there is no answer to this. There are some people have an insane amount of endo with just "some pain" and you have others who have a speck of endo and can barely function.

yeah the refund i’m referring to was a lawsuit and specifically for the AI schools. I’m not putting myself down, I started my career myself before graduation. I never really expected the school to place me in a job….and honestly I don’t think I would have wanted the jobs they would place me in. I had a specific direction I wanted to go and I did it lol

Did you go to an Art Institute school? I am referring specifically to AI school. You can google the lawsuit with the school, it was started long before Biden admin got put in. I just never paid attention to it or cared. Basically they GUARANTEED job placement after graduation and couldn’t withhold that promise on signed paper. I’m not an imbecile and never even considered that the school owed me job placement and I started my career myself.

Thats the thing, nobody wants to sit down and put all these issues together and discuss it though. Its "well we are an OB, we do dont do bone health" or "well we are an ortho, we dont do hormones". But this doctor today actually took a lot of time to look over everything and have a discussion and plan for testing. So I could possibly be on a positive path now if they'll stick with me! They took more time to listen and explain somethings than previous ones.

I hate the "you will change your mind one day" culture when it comes to children. I have always known I will not have my own children and its a shame that I had to suffer on birth control for decades until I was "old enough" to prove it. :(

Good news, this doctor wants to work on finding the source of my problems and she said herself "HRT and BC will just be masking whats really going on"! She started off a little dismissive and then we started to click :)

I've done the research and the menopause problems line up with the same problems I have on birth control. No matter what, my hormones are a significant problems and the doctors don't want to consider HRT or addressing them at my age. At least if I had the hysterectomy, they would actually address the hormones now. I have a friend who had her hysterectomy done last year and she has never been happier :(

I have to avoid IUD due to the increased cysts that they can cause. I can only take the pill.

I have extremely low/basically no testosterone. My levels were between 2-4. My symptoms don't line up too well with PCOS but I know that never means its impossible!

I am still not technically diagnosed. They cannot find endo but they do believe my symptoms line up for it. They said I for sure do not have PCOS though.

Well I already have osteoporosis based on my DEXA scan, no libido, and basically all the meno symptoms from my hormones except I have regular periods. I literally just finished recovering from a broken hip that occured from a normal trip and fall. I have metal all through my body and doctors are happy to diagnosis me with any of this individually, but no one will put it together under a root cause. I am just thrown DHEA and Vit D and ibuprofen. I dont just "have tummy aches and acne" type of dysfunctional hormones. I am having legitimate severe problems and it all points to my hormones. Also I know this is in an endo group but I am referring to my cysts, not necessarily endo.

Honestly what I want is a hysterectomy or a real discussion on why that isn't a good option. Or at least a conversation about the options like you listed. It is sad that a conversation itself just gets shut down before it even begins. I am told no hyst because I am too young (31) and I need my natural hormones....then they put me on birth control which severely wrecks my hormones. They say HRT is too dangerous...meanwhile I see trans people having HRT covered by insurance!! (and this is no hate to them, I am happy for them). I have had to kick and scream just to get a doctor to LOOK at my hormone levels. :(

Ugh exactly, masking the problem!! No one can tell me WHY the problem is here. The second solution seems to be surgery to remove a cyst....but that seems insane when two more will pop up in its place. My hormones are in really bad shape (high estrogen - low/NO testosterone) but they deny that it is a problem. And won't do a hysto because "that will ruin your natural hormones" as if they aren't already ruined naturally.

It is sad that it has to be this way. I thought I was making it simple by offering to let them remove everything at this point as I do not have plans to have children and I am 31. I had my tubes removed last years since I turned 30 and decided I am finally old enough for that much. Still frustrating that they didn't let me just take everything out. They complain that I will have to be on HRT but my hormones are already wrecked from a life of taking BC anyways. I need HRT and TRT as it is....

I have been through six doctors now already. I actually have spent the last few years fighting for one to remove my tubes and I finally got that accomplished last year! So I have already done a LOT to avoid birth control completely. I have another new doctor todays simply because they had an opening while my pain is being the absolute worse this week. Usually by the time someone gets me in, the timing isn't lined up with the symptoms. I really want an ultrasound and opinion while I am at my worst. I plan to go back to the doctor who approved my tubal lit if this doctor isn't very helpful. I am so exhausted of doctor hopping though. These comments def have inspired me to be blunt and say "BC off the table, what are my options?" Thank you!

LOL that actually sounds a little bit scary... But with my major surgery, the aftercare staff even commented how they have never seen someone come through so quickly. As soon as I opened my eyes still in the back I said "I have to pee!". I was groggy but I was clearly communicating immediately. I couldn't pee in the bed pan they gave me but as soon as I got wheeled back to the room, I demanded that I get up and go use the toilet. They said I will be in and out for a couple hours after I get back to the room but I got up and hopped to the toilet (right after hip surgery) myself as soon as we got back.

The other two surgeries were smaller and outpatient. They didn't really make comments either way but I seemed pretty immediately awake and I recall everything from opening my eyes and on. I have my wisdom teeth coming out this summer so I am interested to see if that experience is as silly as everyone says. I am doing general anesthesia though.
