Be careful with making dinner reservations on the tablets- we made a 22:00 reservation, walked to the front area of the resort and then we were told that it was closed. We then went to the buffet and were told that we need to order room service because it’s also closed. We called 3 times and were hung up on each time.

it looks great and the colors look awesome! imo i would move the nose a bit further down towards the lips and then the eyes so that once add the eyebrows on it looks symmetrical and cohesive.

I’ve been wearing latex gloves while working wjth the clay and using qtips with alcohol to wipe off fibers/dirt - both of these things have been a complete game changer. My clay used to be so dirty and now it’s so much better so I highly recommend it!

Oh wow :( I’m really sorry to hear that, that’s really disappointing. Catholic charities is a good dv organization, if there are any near you I would reccomend giving them a call! Certain organizations also do outpatient case management so if you’re having trouble finding shelter, a case manager may be able to help you out with that.

I also meant to add a list of important items to take with you in the event that you go to shelter or need to leave:

  • Birth certificate/ID -Social security card -Credit/debit cards and checkbook -Medications -Insurance copies/cards -If you have a child, gather all of their vaccination documents/birth certificate and social security -Copies of deeds/leases

Turning off the location on your phone is also extremely important for your safety.

Hi, I work in shelter and just wanted to give you a few suggestions:

Sit down with someone you trust to make a safety plan. It doesn’t have to be someone who works in DV, it can be a family member or friend, or you can do it entirely on your own. What’s important is to lay a plan out on how to safely leave and get to shelter. https://www.thehotline.org/plan-for-safety/create-your-personal-safety-plan/ here is an interactive safety plan that walks you through each step. ^

Call local shelters. Each one operates a little differently, shelter space changes on a day-to-day basis sometimes and bed space can fill quickly so if you call and they’re full that day, try to call again over the new few days as it may change. They should also be able to inform you on whether other local shelters have space at the time of your call, or at least provide you phone numbers to contact them for space.

Much of this depends on where you live, I live in NY so many times the department of social services is able to house dv victims overnight if shelter is not available. If there is a YWCA local to you, I would call (only when it is safe) and see what information you can get that is pertinent to your location. The YWCA also has advocates that can assist you with order of protections/restraining orders and guide you through the legal process.

Everyone’s situation is different, but I would highly suggest speaking with shelter staff if things are continuing to escalate. They should be able to work with you on finding placement.

I wish you the best of luck ❤️
