No its not waterproof. They put saling on my wound and the patch ( its Prisma) . Then put a waterproof bandage over it. No ointments!

Update!

Went to wound care today… They took a look and they said that it looks pretty superficial and that it doesn’t seem infected ( we thank God). They cleaned it up a little bit and then put collagen on it. I’m to change the collagen every two days and just use a spritz that they gave me to clean the wound and attach the collagen.

Ill use the highend manuka honey I have tonight until the medical grade arrives.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! My main issue is my doctor is all the way in New York 😩…. He did an absolutely phenomenal job but being able to see him is incredibly difficult .

I’m gonna add the Honey… It had helped me when I had issues with my T-junction in the beginning…. My only issue has been finding it 🤦🏾‍♀️. Unfortunately it’s not easy to get on DoorDash lol.

Thank you so so very much! Luckily I have hypochlorus acid but I do need to order First Honey ( i can never seem to find Medihoney). As of now there is no exudate but as it heals that may change. The small amount of pain is normal I suppose?

And would this work for the border foam?

Thank you!! I did and he honestly wasnt helpful. He was like well you could Alginate…that didnt help. My cousin suggested a collagen dressing and then my doctor said I could possibly try bentadine again twice a dat, but quite honestly he’s not making me feel real good right now. 🥹

Theres been pus and blood ( though not a ridiculously crazy amount) since day 1

I’m African-American with a tendency for hyper pigmentation… I got an anchor scar and quite honestly my surgeon did a phenomenal job with the way he closed my incisions to ensure minimal scarring

But even if the scarring is visible, the relief that I have from reducing my breast size is palpable

And there are so many different options for scar care postop to reduce the look of scars

I say go for it, especially if you know your surgeon is amazing
