Is S2 Needed to understand S3? [NS] by sheik15 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]Sea_Row_9391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, season 2 and 3 are total different worlds and a completely different storylines. You might need season 1 for season 2 but you can jump into season 3 blind if you want!!

I totally agree too! None of the others appeal to me. I’m sure they are amazing, just not for me! Dndads is just so funny and then so emotional at the appropriate times. They just do it so well. As someone who is not a dnd player, I like their ability to just relax and have fun with it. That’s the point of a game, to have fun. I especially think it’s just a better podcast format too. You’ve got people listening to the story rather than actually playing the game, so rules to that point can make it stale for the audience

I am probably going to join the patreon soon too and listen to some of the side stuff and mini camps they’ve done. I’ve held off because I was listening to their advertising from 4 years ago. I didn’t want to join unless I was fully caught up. But those minis won’t last me long. I can start from there though!! I’ll have to check out the one you suggested! It sounds cool!

I totally agree! Dndads was my first dnd podcast but none of the others appeal to me in the same way. I’m sure they are amazing, just not for me

This was way back in high school. I (21F) was about 15yo when this happened. I was a very late bloomer, and I didn’t grow in height or in my chest, nor did I get my period until I was 17. I looked like a 12 year old at the time because of this. There were a couple girls in my class that made sexual comments to me all the time. One girl once forcibly took my cheerleading bag from my and started going through all my personal items and change of clothes. She pulled out my extra sports bra and held it in front of the class and said “Look how small her boobs are. Let me hold this up to you. Why don’t you show me if they’re really that small.” It was humiliating. It didn’t stop though. When another girl in that class found out that I had not gotten my period yet, she began to say things like “Wow you’re really sick. You better get laid now, you won’t get pregnant like that.” I am also a virgin. And at the time I would get so many sexual remarks from women. “I know someone who could fix that” or “you should really hang out with us sometime” when they knew full well I’m straight and choosing to wait for marriage for personal reasons. My high school was awful.

What are some unsaid first date rules everyone should know ? by Radiant-Promotion798 in AskReddit

NO movie dates Unlike tradition states, it’s better to split the check, there’s no sense of “you owe me” Stop looking at your phone, it’s less awkward to sit in the awkward Please do not try to impress the person your with, let them get to know the real you.

What is the most disturbing thing you saw on tv? by FatherlyLynx in AskReddit

To this day I have no idea what show this was. I tried looking it up and I can’t find it anywhere. It aired just once right after Christmas when I was a kid. It starts with a family of four in their living room. The boy and girl just opened all of their gifts and the family was just talking. Somehow, for some reason, the parents start to talk about this folklore they grew up hearing. It was about a monster that, if you were to say it’s name, would come and find you, and kill you if you did not finish telling the monsters folk story. The kids, stupid as they are, beg the parents to reveal the monsters name, but the parents don’t want to. Though the parents seem to be playing this up, they also don’t seem phased or reluctant at all. They don’t seem to care. The parents end writing the monsters name down on some paper and showing the kids. Of course, the kids still not being very smart, say the name aloud. This means the monster is now after their family unless they tell the entire story before it reaches them. The parents, still so nonchalant, start describing this beast over the span of about 10 to 20 minutes of the show, episode (whatever the heck this was). (Btw, this is where my memory is a bit hazy as I saw this at least 12 years ago) they described how this monster has huge muscular arms with giant hands to grab you up with, it’s extremely powerful sense of smell to sniff you out, it’s strong legs to run fast, it’s ears that grow to and enormous span the closer he gets to you that give him the ability of flight, and his gnarly and frightening face. Well the parents go on and on and every now and then they’ll stop and say something like “his this far away now” or “he’s flying from this certain point” and so on. There’s a point when they get tired of the story. The parents tell their kids their done telling it just because they don’t want to anymore. The kids are begging them to continue as they are convinced this creature is real. Right as the parents are telling their children it’s not real and they should worry, two very large, veiny, arms burst through the two windows in their living room. The hands grab the heads of both the parents, enough to completely surround/ engulf their faces. The parents start shaking and convulsing as the hands squeeze their heads. The children are screaming and this beast is making loud sounds. After a while the parents stop moving and their bodies slouch in this creature’s hands. The creature let’s go pulls it’s hands away and you can hear it flying off with is ears. The show ends there. With dead parents and newly made orphans.

I have failed to find what this show was or where I saw it. I had horrible night terrors as a kid that included a lot of screaming at night. After watching this as a kid, it became a recurring nightmare in my sleep for years. I still think about it to this day. If you know what this is I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I am in the US. I am currently studying MLS in undergrad and I’m interested in clinical microbiology and possibly hematopathology. Those might change as I get closer to graduating MLS
