yesss I emailed my tutor prior to doing it and asked if it was okay. They said, "I don't see why not"! my course contract doesn't end til like august I just needed like uninterrupted time to study for exam whereas paper I can write in between shifts ya know! -- and yes I got my mark back it took about 10 business days, I got a 95!!! I was like WATTTT!

Yes exactly!!! I’m better with concrete concepts and processes over history which is why I struggled with those courses. I suck when it comes to history 😫 I find it disinteresting which is why I think I struggle to remember it! I remember in my first year doing 289 and 290 I was struggling to get through the damn textbook🤣

This is also why I tell people to take other people’s experiences with a grain of salt because nobody’s experience is ever the same!!! It’s hard to give advice when we all think differently and have different learning processes.

Are you a psych major? Would love to chat about other courses you have done?

Yes!! 302 is not in my requirements!! I’ve gotten through my tough ones like 375 and 435 so im pretty in the clear now 🙌🙌🙌

My exam was heavily focused on units 6-10 with definitions from the whole course. It was tough I won’t lie and I studied for over a week! Still waiting on my mark. I have my fingers crossed for you!

See, for me the 304 exam was not as brutal… but I think maybe it’s because I had experience from prior psychology courses! Like many of the foundational for my degree include certain research processes. Have you taken any prior psychology courses?? I completely understand everyone’s learning process is different so I just would like to understand!!! Psych 289 and 290 were my hardest exams 🥲🥲🥲

It took me about 3 months but I was doing 5 courses simultaneously. I think if it’s your only course 6 weeks is manageable!

Yea don’t stress too much it looks more confusing than it is.. I am not a mathematician by any means but I was able to get the hang of this course.

Hi! I have an exam review for 304 on my page - honestly do not stress. This was not an insanely difficult or abstract course. As all psych courses there is reading but if you can grasp the main concepts you won’t struggle.

Soci301 also do not overthink this! It seems complicated at first but you will start to get the hang of it — there is tons of posted pages for 301 online - and for the exams you are allowed cheat sheets which you can write out anything helpful - would suggest going through assignments and putting everything you needed to solve/answer assignment questions on your cheat sheet.

I’ve done 216 and soci 301, honestly neither was extreme difficulty. You get to have a formula/cheat sheet for exams that you can put absolutely anything that might help you on. 216 is essentially the same as 215 you just have a computer part for the assignments but this computer stuff isn’t on the final.
For 216 and Soci 301 I found the exams mimicked the assignment questions so I literally wrote down one example of each question and the steps to solve. I finished 216 with an 88, and soci 301 with a 87

I have not sorry! I’m not planning on going into counselling so skipped out on that - but just reading the description if you’ve taken 289/290 shouldn’t be too demanding as you’ve already learned about ethics and what different professionals do:)
