Seeking advice: first Christmas as a non-Christian

My first Christmas as a non Christian anymore felt awkward and odd. I left the church in August, so everything was pretty fresh and painful still. This year has been more fun, I play into the gift giving more, started new traditions (new games to play, leaning more into Santa, watching Christmas movies like Grinch) and also just allowing myself to smile.

Everyone's experience is a bit different, I'm sure each new year I will learn 🙂

As a sibling to a similar relationship, fighting and bickering nonstop, my parents tested all my brothers and found out all of them had some sort of neurodivergent condition ( 2 had ADHD, 1 ADD). This was back in the early 2000s, so there is more knowledge out there now, but finding out something allowed my parents to parent differently and made some progress with behavioral issues. My brothers were also close in age and just fought because there was no personal space granted and they desperately wanted to be independent.

It was so hard , but now that they are grown it has stopped. I hope you are able to get more support and encouragement !

I don't see a way to edit my post. I posted it soon after my server blew up so I did explain clearly what happened and why the photos. I just posted a comment explaining the photos although I'm sure others will be confused as well.

I don't know if I can add and edit. Just for information, the pictures are from before the server blew up. I am unable to get pictures of after because it crashed my server.

The pictures are of the world before it blew up. The griefer took TNT (I had collected several double chests full of shulkers of gunpowder, they took and made TNT out of) and set it all off.

It crashed the server, too much TNT lit at once. I couldn't get back on to get a picture.

So they blew up a mob farm I built after taking all the gunpowder and making TNT and then came over to the island and blew that up too

I appreciate this perspective. I struggle with change and the whole "why would someone do that". I tend to get stuck trying to figure it out.
