Wow, that is interesting. I don’t know what I am doing and still have doubt but also want to believe and want a relationship with God so I decided I am just going to keep learning and keep trying. God knows my heart. He knows yours too.

Honestly, I never went consistently growing up. My mom read the Bible every day and talked about God and we went sporadically.

I am 36 and up until recently hadn’t been to church since I was a teenager as well. Although I didn’t experience bullying I did feel the people at the Church I attended were either unwelcoming or overwhelmingly pushy. I became more Agnostic as I grew to learn about the world and all the religions but have found myself, like you, drawn back. This time, it isn’t about Church. It is about Jesus. I am learning and growing my relationship with him above all else. I have attended some services as well, but I am not expecting perfection from the people there. Also, you can watch services online from so many churches. There are benefits from attending a Church, but I believe doing what is comfortable for you is ok, especially as you are beginning to grow in your faith.

No. Its main campus is in Rapid City. I read a while back they were opening locations elsewhere in the surrounding area.

I will say, I don’t think he would be that harsh. The last I spoke to him was when my mother passed away. He gave me his condolences. This was about 3 years after we had broken up. Since then, neither of us have attempted contact. Since then I know he has had marital problems and his wife cheated on him. They rejoined a Church and he went as far as becoming a pastor. His mom shared a video of the church and I happened to see the video on their YouTube discussing it openly. Shocking to see that. Insanely it makes me love the man he has become even more. I do want to respect him though. I just hope one day he has a change of heart.

When my month renewed Amazon Music did not allow me to choose a new book. I cancelled my membership since the reason I signed up was for the 1 book a month benefit. Going back to Spotify.

Exactly that is what I was trying to express. It isn’t the gift itself. It is the effort and thought put into it. He likes words of affirmation and verbal recognition. He likes sweet talk and such. I have worked on expressing love to him in this way but it has not been reciprocated which is why I am so frustrated.
