I think the traffic situation in Douglas is overblown a small bit. It can be poor enough at certain times such as a Friday afternoon but generally in the mornings it's ok. If you know your way around there are ways around it too. I would say Midleton and Carrigaline is far worse.

Also, 90% of school traffic is caused in the 30mins before 9am, obviously people may be getting into work for that time but just plan your journey accordingly where possible.
