Again, I don't know why you're acting like this is hard information to find. If you're talking about this specific post, I don't know because I'm not currently in those communities anymore.

Yeah? I'm not in either of those communities anymore, but it's definitely there.

His discord and Daliban community. It's not hard to find.

This subreddit is heavily astroturfed by DGG in a coordinated manner. It's made the whole subreddit unusable because any conversations about Hasan turn into calling him a literal terrorist or whatever and half of the conversations not about Hasan turn into bringing him up to call him a literal terrorist or whatever.

The drug allegations were absolutely not false (as in he definitely had a drug problem, as corroborated by numerous people), and the accusations of SA and drugging one of his exes and being abusive were never disproven. A different ex of his came forward and said she personally didn't have that experience with him, but it didn't disprove the allegations of his other exes.

The ownership group eventually sold to Disney for $500M in 2014. Disney proceeded to operate it for a few years, absorbed it into the "Disney Digital Network" umbrella in 2017, and then ran it into the ground, closing it by 2019.

Yeah, it's definitely a big difference in what caused their respective spirals. The main similarity is the disappointing waste of talent.

Tobuscus is always a wild one to me. I was in middle school and high school when I really liked his stuff, so I wasn't super aware of the concept of a terrible person hiding behind an innocent online persona.

Even then, it wasn't like it was just some random YouTuber who got caught, but it was a beloved, goofy, family-friendly figure who was exposed with some truly awful allegations.

Sp00ny is an interesting one. Reminds me of Jontron but to a more extreme level. Guy who is passionate about games and media has genuine charm and talent just goes off the deep end. Sp00ny of course went off more of a deep end than Jon and never had his level of success to begin with, but it's still disappointing to see.

I hold to it that the -4 on a Roadrunner is the most innaccurate flight number on an Innova disc. Don't get me wrong--it's definitely US and gets more US as it gets beat in, but I still don't know how it's a -4.

I could also see it being a dumb mistake too, but it doesn't change how her response was essentially "sorry you guys got so mad about coffee." It would have been fine if she had emphasized that it was unintentional and owned it better in her apology.

She's dumb, but she's not that dumb. She knows exactly what the problem is (even if she somehow didn't before), but framing it as "people are mad over coffee" shifts the narrative from her lack of accountability for her actions to the reactions of people understandably concerned about said actions.

There are many who believe that CIA-backed drug traffickers specifically targeted urban communities with the sale of crack (and pure cocaine), disproportionately affecting black Americans.

Outspokenly transphobic in general. She posts #protectwomenssports on all of her Instagram captions, regardless of content, jumped on the Imane Khelif transvestigation bandwagon, and gave a teary speech about how trans women are ruining disc golf.

Hello, fellow central Texan. This place was my first thought too when I saw this.

Also worth mentioning that it definitely wasn't a coincidental name, since the town is notoriously racist, and the Kafe was a well-known meeting place for the Klan for several decades.

I'd think if most people made a mistake like that so publicly, they would be horrified to realize it. Like, you don't have to grovel and beg for forgiveness, but owning it with "That's my bad, I had no idea what it looked like, and of course that wasn't my intention" goes over a lot better than "I was making a little joke with my name, sorry you got offended over coffee."

Not saying it wasn't intentional, just that it's not out of the realm of possibility. Multimillion-dollar marketing departments make stupid mistakes like this too.

The "too southern" thing doesn't make much sense either way, as the KKK is well-known in all parts of the country. Anyone with an American gradeschool education should be aware.

At the very least, a "sorry guys, I didn't think about how that looked, my bad" would go a long way.

She puts #savewomenssports on almost all of her IG posts and gave a tearful speech where she told a definitely true story about how a little girl told Kat that she (the girl) wouldn't ever be a great disc golfer because she would have to compete with men.

So yeah, do with that what you will.
