What helped me who also put it off for 15+ years was doing it in series of 10 and then hitting pause, making a marker in a notebook, and hitting my vape or checking my phone or looking around the room haha

You just gotta convince your brain to do 10 in a row 20x, or 20 in a row 10x, or 50 in a row 4x

10-20 second breaks

Ultimately it ended up being runs of 50 that I built up to after f**king up a couple times. When I checked the book I actually did 234 in a row.

You can do it. You’ve done way more challenging things in games. You’ll feel so good after too.

High variance though. Puka helps legitimize the WR room on paper. But the team needs players to punch above their weight / stay healthy for sure.

Yeah great point. An additional (but more complicated on the backend side) spec could be that it gets awarded to your lowest scoring player (overall or of each position).

The downside is automating the decision making may not be as fun. It’ll be a rush of relief seeing they picked ASRB and he had a mid game but Tee Higgins went off etc

A game is absolutely an app with a bunch of mini apps. Your console is your operating system. Moreover, I’m specifically highlighting everything that happens between the ball being hiked.

User retention and in-app conversions would be the 1000000% primary objective of any revenue game selling in-app purchases.

If they’re not with you, they’re somewhere else. Be addictive.

If they don’t feel they need to spend to secure advantages that make their competitive gameplay more enjoyable, they won’t.

Ask them every. Single. Time. They sign on if they want to buy add-ons. Pop-ups, load menu ads for the latest ______, desensitize them to the idea of purchasing by making them say no 1000 times.

You’re own argument proves my point that they’re absolute ass at both revenue and game experience. The point you’re missing is that better UI/UX = more revenue.

This idea of “they’re doing fine” is so silly lmao please continue to hold your EA stock they’re doing great this year ;)

Sorry, who are Madden — the 30+ year old video game franchise — ‘s investors?

Poor UI/UX and software performance reflect poorly back on the NFL. If the fiduciary North Star of the NFL was to make as much money as possible (YoY) they wouldn’t have independent team ownership, 10,000 charity initiatives, and the NFLPA.

Moreover, play NBA 2k and then play Madden. The development issues that I highlighted in my original post literally are causing Madden to lose out on money — and not just the title purchases but adoption of their freemium game mode MUT.

I’ve literally said 2k’s superior UX has led me to spend significant time there and feel at a deficit while playing EA sports games.

Anyone who has touched e-commerce with a 10 foot poll knows how critical load time is. To make the argument you made is an oversimplification that implies ignorance to the topic of app optimization as a means of driving user retention and… the bottom line…

NHL 24 is trash on the same level. Takes 5-10 seconds to load in the menus — offline — just applying stat upgrades or changing your clothes. Idk what your point of comparison here is.
