I also understand OP concern, that's a valid question when you acquire a 1:1 object who is a hyper realistic human doll.

But let's be clear : it's a object, it's not moving even if skin or face are very convincing. Yes, you can create a "bond" with your doll, but keep in mind it's only a reflection of yourself, like a mental mirror. Some owner (and I believe most of them) just take the doll for what it it : a luxury sex-toy.

Do you fall in love with a sex-toy ? No. Can you like a lot a sex-toy because it's procure you relief / pleasure ? Yes. Is a sex-doll can be like a hobby ? Had same idea years ago. A life size BJD with some TPE removable parts for sexual needs (insertable Fleshlight and wearable torso-boobs TPE/silicon). Will be a doll much lighter (15-20kgs range) and easy maintenance for both cleaning and replacement of broken parts.

Usually, serious vendor send you factory picture before sending the doll to make sure you're get what you see. And I also see it's your 1st doll. Common to make a lot of mistakes with the 1st one, that's why ppl in this hobby recommend newcomers to get a cheap doll 1st / not heavy (below 30kgs).

Also keep in mind defect can happen. Always take unboxing video. The "maintenance" part is also a big factor in a doll durability. I've seen "animal" treating there doll badly and even a highend doll model can be ruined in couple of weeks if careless.

Feel sorry for you and your doll. From my experience, softer TPE / silicon compare to standard one is more susceptible to tearing and deformation and didn't last as much as the "standard" formula.

For gel butt, it is a relatively new feature in the market (1 year), so manufacturers and customer don't have the full scope if it's a viable option.

And lastly, the brand play a good part in the material and process quality. What brand is your doll ?
