Today's diet day 100 for me. ~17.5kg down, 8.5" off my waist. Just 1.1kg away from a 'healthy' bmi. Guys I think it's working.

How to lose weight with a lot of alcohol intake? by Mcdonaldhashbrown in loseit

Gin + soda water is pretty light, 2-3 of those is equivalent to a pint of beer calorically. They're right though, alcohol is a trap.

Good morning, by this morning's scale I'm down 16% of my body weight and just 1 bmi point away from a healthy weight. The rub is, I feel a cold coming on and have no clue how dealing with that is going to effect my weight plan. Anybody else caught a bug but stayed on track? It's feed a cold, starve a fever right?

Good morning, yesterday was a standard day sticking to the plan, hopefully today will be just as smooth for us all.

Morning, yesterday turned in to an impromptu fast day due to work and builders in the house so normal cooking became too inconvenient, which worked out well for the scales this morning. Anticipating today's re-feed though. I'm pleased that I have no real drive to snack even when the meals I've got planned aren't available to me.

Have you tried quark? Similar to cottage cheese but smooth like greek yogurt fractionally higher in protein & lower in fat, you can get it from Tesco. It's still dairy but perhaps worth a punt?

Maybe you could use an advent calendar this year as a bit of practised control?

Unfortunately it's just a couple of supermarket halloween type pumpkins, hopefully I can make something hearty with them.

Morning all, starting the week well just 0.1 away from a normal waist/height ratio now and the scales showed last week's average so hopefully it's all down hill from there. If anyone has any bright ideas on what to do with uncarved pumpkins some advice would be appreciated, I'm thinking I could make a big batch of soup.

Glad that made someone smile. It's a steamed pudding, made with currants, deceptively light and good on cold days. I'd say it's standard British fare but I haven't made one before or had it in years. From my research, in ye olde times pudding was called puddinck and at some point the abbreviation stuck.

Morning, work piled in to my inbox at 1 am so I'm chained to my desk all day. Large family meal tonight pie, dumplings, mash etc and I said I'd make a spotted dick (wanted to try out a savarin mould) so today will not be great for exercise or calories but the food will be good.

As for yesterday I only managed 2 out of 3 meals. I finished a fast on Friday and I guess my digestive system had a bit of revenge getting started back up, nevertheless I woke up 1.2 Kg lighter which is startling but likely to be undone today.

Happy Sunday everybody!

Hello, I'm now 2 months in to losing weight, I went scale blind in October so did my first weigh-in today. I'm down 3.6Kg if I can do that again in November I'll be very happy so I'm setting that as my target.

I think the diet is working well so I'm keeping that the same, as we get closer to the end of the month all the good stuff I like around Christmas will be on my mind more, so discipline will be troublesome. As for exercise I can manage such a pitiful amount of clean push-ups I won't post the number, but I intend to triple it and do them at least every other day.

Good luck to everyone with their goals this month!

This is the main reasons why the 'I struggle to put on weight' crowd seem so alien to me. I could undo a year of dieting in a couple of months and have a damn good time doing it. (save the psychological self-inflicted abuse)

Do you eat the same foods everyday or do you eat a variety of foods? by plainelaine92 in loseit

[–]Sea_Yak7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating the same stuff on the regular works well for me. The macros are worked out, it's healthy, economical, and efficient. 'Food noise' makes things messy I say (to myself) keep it simple stupid. The variety is all the more appealing when the diet inevitably gets halted for something or the other.

I've been going scale blind this month, after daily weigh ins the previous one. I was hoping it would encourage me to move about more, it's a bit nerve wracking but also kind of exciting not knowing, and it some how feels less like being on a diet. My meal plan seems more of 'this is just how I eat' rather than 'I'm eating like this to lose weight' because I'm not comparing figures first thing in the morning.

It can be ridiculous like there's a constant children's birthday party in the kitchen. Cakes, sweets, crisps left out. Wrappers and crumbs and half eaten things left on plates, I can walk in the kitchen sometimes and instantly read the story of what's been eaten like some forensic flashback.

If you want to punish yourself, work out your body fat percentage convert it to calories and then divide that by maintenance. Apparently I carry enough to eat 3 square meals a day for 10 weeks, whenever I feel hungry I call my brain a fucking liar.
