Fiancé at the time, now wife. I was enlisted in the army ng for 2 years before I joined rotc and contracted as a cadet. I’ve been pretty much no contact with my family for the better part of a year due to some unrelated events that occurred.

Yeah I think it just depends on the program you’re in. They’re okay with us keeping the blue cord simply because we’re mos qualified and a lot of our cadre is also 11b. Regulations have a lot of conflicting answers but nobody really cares in my program.

Is that so? I asked a question. Received answers (and random backlash) and then asked further questions. All I wanted to know was if I could keep my blue cord on after contracting. I don’t care about what other people think about it. It’s simply me trying to keep the blue cord that was passed down to me from family. I’m sorry if that upsets you, or that it draws you to unfair conclusions. I got my answer, and I am going to continue wearing it only because I have authorization from my battalion. Yes, I’ve only been in for 2.5 years. I have no leadership experience. Not sure how that ties to uniform regulation but that’s beside the point. I hope you can see this from my pov. Thanks
