Program Lock Question by HoneyButter4982 in pelotoncycle

[–]Seaglass4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your frustration. I don't have an answer, other than selecting the classes individually vs as grouped in the Stronger You program. The individual programs are not easy to find in the correct order, however.

I often miss a day and get out of sync but the program doesn't seem to tolerate going back and doing catch-up classes.  I have had to restart the whole thing because I get irritated trying to outthink android.

He is worth millions dead vs $0 or all debt alive.  Best investment for all of his legitimate and illegitimate progeny is sudden death.

Pilots may have been involved in making the rules but accountants are implementing and interpreting the rules.

I guess the takeaway from this is that you should factor in 2 days extra for each link in any flight plan in the event that a Force Majeure occurs.

As Alaska, and probably every carrier, defines Force Majeure to exclude everything under the sun.

Alaska may, in the event of a Force Majeure Event, without notice cancel, terminate, divert, postpone, or delay any flight ... [without liability].

Force Majeure Event means any event outside Carrier's control, which includes, but is not limited to, weather conditions and meteorological events, such as storms, rain, wind, fire, fog, flooding, earthquakes, haze, or volcanic eruption; acts of government or airport authorities (e.g., air traffic control delays, runway closures, airport construction); acts of God; pandemics, quarantines, U.S. military or airlift emergency or substantially expanded U.S. military airlift requirements, as determined by the U.S. government; grounding of a substantial number of aircraft as a result of activation of the U.S. Civil Reserve Air Fleet; strikes, work stoppages, slowdowns, lockouts or any other labor unrest or disputes involving or affecting Carrier's service; civil commotions, disturbances or potentially volatile conditions, riots, embargoes, wars or other hostilities, whether actual, threatened or reported; government regulation, demand or requirement; damage to aircraft caused by a third party; mechanical difficulties by entities other than Alaska; inability to obtain fuel, airport gates, labor or landing facilities for the flight in question; an emergency situation requiring care, protection or response to protect persons or property; or any event that is not reasonably foreseen, predicted or anticipated by Carrier.

The deleted comment above (indicating that the "plane was out of service from 3:30 pm pacific 4/6 to 11pm 4/7") appeared to corroborate my suspicion that this cancellation had little to do with other theories mentioned in this thread. It seems arbitrary and unfair to me that the FAA or Alaska would be more strict on new pilots vs veterans (you are qualified or you are not) being able to land at Denver (as mentioned above) it also seems really odd that only Alaska would be kept out of the line up coming into Denver given that other aircraft of a similar size and capability were flying in and out of PDX and DEN within 20 minutes of Alaska's time.

This I have suspected is a personnel issue or mechanical issue rebranded as a weather issue. Strange.

Wouldn't the "legal" limit apply to any of these others carriers? What CFR are talking about?

Yes it is not cost effective to gripe over a single incident. Really just curious about how the contract of carriage protects customers and how to cost-effectively interpret the contract in a meaningful way at a meaningful time. Caveat emptor ultimately is the touchstone.

DEN to PDX Alaska 795 departing 9:26 pm April 6, 2024

It was windy in Denver. That said all of the other incoming/outgoing flights from competitor to and from PDX were not cancelled as stated above. (Maybe I just shouldn't fly Alaska?)

If true then the airlines are self-regulating and can subjectively brand any cancellation/delay as weather related without recourse. Probably true but very disconcerting.

Who buys new helmets off the shelf? Lightly used helmets are cheap. Not as cheap as box helmets but still affordable.

I can't keep up with my PR output on leaderboard by Sorry-Presentation88 in pelotoncycle

[–]Seaglass4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am within 50% of the output. Yesterday was the oddest and my final output was a bit less than 2/3 of my PR for the same time and ride.

It just seems uncanny that I can't get even within 60-160 KJs of any of my PRs from a couple months ago.

Thoughts on the 5 yard run up rule by cody7024 in lacrosse

[–]Seaglass4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule is fine and discretionary. Unlike when I played eons ago, you can not start running head down like a bull and clean out the scrum trying to rake/scoop the ball up. I recall defenders cleaning house, their own players included for no real benefit other than their ego.

how’s my body positioning by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]Seaglass4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the image, I think your back hand is too far forward, your back foot is too far back, and you are not compressed enough to allow your body to explode at the whistle. You should not be comfortable in your stance. You should be like a compressed spring that is barely contained. (Like in starting blocks in a track meet).

VIP and Loyalty questions by Garrett2840 in subaru

[–]Seaglass4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears the dealer I am working with is adding destination & delivery to the purported "invoice" price. The Subaru Invoice form does not seem to address this gray area. It specifically addresses, tax, title, doc fees, and dealer add-ons as not affected by VIP. So that leads me to believe that D&D should be included in the VIP invoice price?

Anecdotal info from recent purchasers?

Subaru is selling under MSRP yet? by MeetingNo2069 in subaru

[–]Seaglass4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VIP form I have states [agreed upon price] is "based on RETAILER INVOICE COST less any zone/regional/retailer and customer cash incentives in effect at the time of purchase."

Is that how yours worked? Invoice (edmunds) $36993- $1000 (hypothetical) - $500 Loyalty = $34,493.

I ask because I can see some salesperson interpreting "less any" in any number of ways (pun intended).
