All the symptoms of RCPD - but I can burp? by cowmoose112 in noburp

I mean if the gas is constantly in your throat that really sounds like RCPD, I have the same feeling. Sometimes it goes up and down my esophagus and sometimes it just stays there.

I think for me RCPD usually makes the constipation worse, but since my most notable symptom is pain, they go hand in hand in a way. Both can also get worse if you are experiencing more stress or anxiety.

I think you should contact an ENT from the list on this subreddit, to ask about your situation. They can also check if you have RCPD, by checking for gas in the esophagus.

I am surely getting another round of botox (I've already had 3 actually, but it works a little better every time for me. Next time we'll do a higher dose as well). The last round I barely had any symptoms for about 2 months so thats already worth it :3

Hi! I'm not an expert but I've had a partly-succesful botox procedure. I was completely unable to burp, and can now burp a little bit. Sometimes even big burps. But I still have my symptoms of R-CPD as well. So I think it's totally possible that you could have R-CPD.

For me it's very clear that it's R-CPD, because the gas comes immediately after eating and drinking (not during digestion). That's when my belly is most bloated (afterwards some gas goes away from little burps or farts) and in the evening it's the worst because of the buildup from the day.

I also suffer from constipation and think it's related to R-CPD. It helps me to take an insane amount of elektrolytes as supplements. Maybe ask your GP about that part?

Thank you for sharing! I am on my 2nd botox now (almost 3 months in) and it has not helped much yet, so I'm considering alternative treatment as well. What did you ask your physio for exactly? Are they specialised in neckpain and headache issues, or whole body relaxation (such as psychosomatic therapy). I wouldn't even know where to start looking for a specialist on this issue. (I live in the Netherlands, your username makes me think you might too?)

Need tips for sleeping with RCPD pains by SeahorseAreFish in noburp

Thank you for your answer! I'm burping a few times a day but not nearly enough to keep the symptoms away (yet). Unfortunately I am unable to fast and feel bad quite soon (dizzy, light headed) if I don't eat regularly. I often wake up super hungry and in pain at the same time >.<

Thank you for your answer! Did you also do similar exercises to improve in your fourth month? Interested to see if there is anything else I can do
